I have zero locking experience but watching another looper channel I learned that those floating pins sometimes get stuck causing your boat to hang from your lines. They recommend using a quick release knot or keeping a knife on hand…. Thanks again for sharing!!!
Hello from the quiet frosty Ozarks Brenton! Another video of value! Welcome to Missouri and Merry Christmas! Hope your well and enjoying your day! Tight lines and bent poles!
What kind of boat is the Beagle Barge built on? You have sparked an interest. What boat type would you recommend for building or rebuilding a shanty? Thanks for any advice. Please keep the videos coming.
Hi JD, nutshell: 30x8.6 welded aluminum work barge built in lousiana in the 80s. Seems to be a hard size to find. Probably custom built. The easiest path to shanty is a bigger pontoon with deep toons and/or tri toon. Gonna need the lift for a cabin build. I've got loads of back catalog with much of this discussed here and there, including build series for the barge and the original shanty boat beagle adventure set up which was a 26 foot catamaran cruiser trailerable houseboat. You can email me if you want. Sometimes it tale a bit to get back to folks right now (never been this in demand) but I do...every one of them ;) thanks for putting up with us. I mean it.
4:40. I watched that boat working for a while before you passed through. They were doing some kind of research. They had a line stretched across that they were using to make some type of measurements. They took it down for you to pass through. It went back up right after.
We're on the Tenn-Tom. Working on caching up videos. It ain't easy if you want to do a good job on them ;) what's rhe point doing them if they aren't worth watching?! Lol
ISO flat barge similar to yours. Want to put my 8'x18.5' NASH Trailer on it. Pontoons are not sturdy enough. Flatbottom boats neither. Prefer steel or thick aluminum. Naturally, Australia has many super cool DIY modular barge suppliers. Not USA.
Love these lost footage videos. When I first saw live footage on a preview before the video, I thought you got your drone and was filming it 😆 I can't wait until you start using it. Merry CHRISTmas to you and Wavey the beagle 🐶 👍♥️✌️🙏🇺🇸🚣♂️🛵
I did. Was getting some constructive feedback and they were right. We can be humbled and challenged here, it's the only way to grow. No harm done. Thanks for putting up with us ;) on to the next one...

I've been following your adventures (and binging on previous ones) ever since I saw you pass through lock 19. Merry Christmas Brenton & Wavey!
Hi Steve ;) We're at the top of the Tenn-Tom. Lots more to come, including being high and dry on the beach between 19 and 20. Coming up...;)

You got it! We're doing that now
That view of the wall moving on the inside reminds me of one of those rooms where the walls start closing in to crush whoever fell into the trap.
Me too! You can see it. It's unnerving;) like the trash compactor on the death star in the original Star Wars
Great! More Basement Tapes! (a la Bob Dylan)!
That's right! And we're headed your way. Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right....you know the rest ;)
Really enjoying the trip and all the posts! Safe travels and hoping you find warm weather soon! Merry Christmas to you and Wavey!
Thanks Jim. It's warming up here in Florida. Really nice day. Crossing east toward Carrabelle
Aerial video leaving the lock looked cool
That was the love stream foe that lock. We got a drone! Given to us my a drone company. Stay tuned ;)
Looking forward to your explorations of Keokuk with Wavey. I'm interested to see how much has changed since the mid 1990;s. All the best!

Merry Christmas to you also. And continued safe journey. @@brentonsriversidehermitage
@de6360 right back at you brother
Like watching a rerun. Still liked it.
Sorry about that. Had to pull down Ep:14. Figure I should at least have footage of this area somewhere.
Why did 14 have to be pulled
@terryrazoric9934 the abandoned explorations part.

Hi Brenton and Wavey 😊
Hi Greg!! --Brenton and Wavey;)
The solar panels are a nice touch. Or you can just pack some long extension cords...
And tap into the lock generators;) lol

I saw that too ;) nice little skiff
likes tour videos so now i am watching them from the start, what size are your solar panels are. this was such a great trip
Hi Frank. We have 2 390 watt panels
What's going on dude. Enjoying your stories. Thanks.
Howdy. We're on the Tenn-Tom now.
@@brentonsriversidehermitage - Happy Holidays buddy. Hope you and Wavey have an enjoyable holiday on the Tenn-Tom. Merry Christmas!

Had to pull Ep:14 down. Didn't want to waste this footage completely.
I saw you wave 😊

There seems to be some in lousiana. They build and use a lot of aluminum work boats there.
Hey buddy check your registration sticker
I have 2025 tags, just waiting to put them on since they can fall off on long trips ;) thanks for looking out for us ;) we need it.

We just got a drone given to us by a company sponsorship. Stay tuned! ;)
@backwatersandbackroads
Yes, I saw you were asking for a shipping address earlier so that's why I thought you had it when I saw footage of tower cam
Did you intentionally take down your last video on BW&BRs? I think I know why you did. Shame because it was a really great one. Cheers Brenton.
