I always bumped the machine as the coins started being pushed towards the end (on second level). Not enough to alarm it, just enough to knock those 4-5 coins off the edge.

Because the weight of the coins is smaller than the machine and the tilt bob, the coins should theoretically fall off and if you do it enough times by slowly pulling the machine back each time, you should be able to get a ton of coins! Just don't get caught doing it haha.

I am specifically talking those that launch a coin and you have 3 options to choose from. You simply play a game of timing and prepping, and ultimately decide where you "land" with your coins. There's a chance that the middle one will undershoot, as it is being used most often. That's a great option, the more the merrier. Older machines CAN have this little "feature", tho it isn't very common. Timing is everything, and you want your coin to land on the platform to push said pile. Overall it is kind of an investment game. Set a hard limit to call it a loss, try a different time if you don't progress where you "land". Other players can help you win, piles that are too heavy are placed there to make you lose money.

Tilt it backwards and quickly tilt it back down without any forward tilt. The alarm won’t trigger and the trap door won’t close. It only works if it tilts forward and sideways because leaning sideways will give it natural forward tilt also. This causes them to move backwards then jolt forwards. I worked at Chuckee-Cheese as a teenager and this is what we did after a repairman explained it to us. You can’t get all the loot at once but each drop will cause the last 2-3 inches to dump.
If it’s designed with some smarts and redundancy, then the trap door may be naturally closed and opened with power, so when power is cut, the trap door is closed. Almost like a solenoid type actuator to open it.

I have never seen one of these that actually gives prizes other than tickets.
I have had some coins fall and a roll of quarters, too. It does get addictive. Just takes timing with the back and forth motion of the "coin pusher" and placing of the quarter. These are usually at County / State Fairs.
