Feel like I'm not the only bad technician out there hahaha
I just had this same problem, but it only happened when the screen was actually on the phone itself, turns out I put one of the wifi ground connections in the wrong place, moved it and that completely solved my issue, before you go get board repair done make sure the little plastic piece that makes contact with the screen is in the right place, very easy to put it in the wrong place

I have a question which is a bit off topic. I am repairing a iPhone XS max with a broken front microphone. I have a lower end and back microphone laying around. Are all microphones the same, Or cant i change one for another?

my iphone X started flickering like this out of nowhere, and subsides when the screen brightness is up all the way. I bought this 2 years ago brand new. There is no water damage, and i didn't drop it. >:\

Meanwhile in Pakistan,India or any south asian country you get blamed for the shit they fucked up. I wanted to get a new screen. He screwed up the home button :(. It was a 6s+
Desi Car Guy PK it happens to my iphone 5s , I brought my 5s to a reputable repair center in Philippines, and they damage the touch id of my iphone. And they insisted to me that mu board is shorted. They didn’t knew I was an engineering student that time so I opened my phone by buying proper tools to opened it. And what I discovered is the guy who repaired my phone damage the flex cable of touch id, I posted it in one of the known groups here in the philippines for iphone. They saw my post and said they will do a refund and will replace it by I only get the refund since the home button is not replaceable. Haysss
Did anyone else notice they used a new screen when they did the final testing ? They used 2 different screens. You can tell by the blue sticky left on the new screen on the final test as compared to nothing on the first test!
They didn’t even repair the motherboard issue. They just changed the screen!

Please be noted that this is not a motherboard issue. Our client soldered an iPhone XS upper layer onto an iPhone XS Max lower layer and resulted in the abnormal screen display. Therefore, we used an iPhone XS screen (with blue sticky) instead of an iPhone XS Max screen in the final test.
Yep! Because it WAS a different screen. That was basically the point of the repair.

The technician has soldered an iPhone XS upper layer of the motherboard onto the iPhone XS max lower layer motherboard. It's a sandwich design, but iPhone XS and XS max board sandwich layers are different at the display side of the board. Hence why the iPhone was not booting as normal.
