Greg williams is the best player I have ever seen. He should have won four Brownlows and was short, slow, fat, tough as anyone and better than everyone. No player before or since had the awareness of the players around him and the ability to squirt out handballs out of dense packs to put teammates in space and advantage. Supreme skills on both sides and almost never played a bad game whilst being largely injury proof. No other Carlton player comes close. A true coaches dream. Gobsmacked to see Judd at two. Umpires pet and spent most of the game running away from contests.
Yes. I am a Geelong supporter and was at the '95 GF. Thought at the time this would have to rival any of the great sides of the past. They were a brilliant team
1995 Grand Final side is the best team to have ever taken the field. Narrowly over both Bris 01-03/Ess 2000. Show me a better backline than Sexton/Ang/Dean/McKay/SOS!!! Midfield of Kouta/Distillate/Brown/Braddles/Ratten/Camporeale 😮 Sticks and Pearce with Big Earl & Clape in the F50. Should have won that GF by 120 points. Took foot completely off gas late and let genuine Geelong spuds like David Mensch and Steven Handley snag a couple sausages when it was all over.

Very sneaky mixing successful quality leaders from 1995 with recent players. Even the comparison in ability and performance under pressure is dubious. Marketing department behind this one?
Plenty of blokes win Brownlows. There's only one Fullback of the Century. How many blokes could have held Plugger to one goal one week, and then played full forward and kicked 10 goals the next week?.
@@obi-nine1504 Everybody is entitled to their opinion. Juddy was bloody good, no question, so was Diesel. Steve Silvagni was a freakish talent, if you didn't watch him play every week when he was in his heyday, I'm sure you don't appreciate just how bloody good he was.
@@darrenjpeters mate I do, he was my old mans favourite player, he’s got the best record on the greatest era of FFs. Judd at his peak was light years ahead of everyone, I only have 6 players better than Judd all time.
@@obi-nine1504 No question, peak Juddy was pretty much unstoppable, I gotta give you that one, pity the osteitis pubis cruelled him a bit. I don't reckon we got peak Juddy at Carlton, even though he was still a gun.
I'm baffled that "Fullback of the Century" Steve Silvagni isn't number 1, and also that Fevola, one of the most mercurial forwards of the last 20 years, is only at number 7. Not a great list.
Totally agree. I would also remove 3 players from this top 10 list all together. The ranking of the remaining 7 is all over the shop. Very dubious and sneaky list. Whoever complied this list clearly owes everyone in the Southern Hemisphere a written apology
After the Blues lost the draft picks for 3 years for cheating the salary cap the whole team spirit totally tanked. Looks like Voss is putting the skids on that slide
I don’t know how a club can be such a flog for over 20 years. They’ve made some really bad list management decisions. They are still the same flogs as before.

Carlton’s biggest mistake: Getting rid of coach Brett Ratton
Disagree, Ratton dropped the ball the year he got sacked, the biggest mistake we made was bringing in Malthouse, we should’ve brought someone else in
@@mattblackmore3252 ok yes that is true
Agree
100% agree they played for him
He got the best out of them fevs best yrs was under ratton
This is brilliant!!! Some outrageously good players in this list!
The commentator when Fev nails the goal from the boundary against the crows 🤣🤣
What a great video
I forgot how good Silvani was.
Just put in the whole 1995 team

Kouta no 1
10: Kade Simpson
9: Brett Ratten
8: Steven Kernahan
7: Brendan Fevola
