I have done many hundreds of these and now do every 6 months an iV rituxian. But I always didn’t like doing those shots. I got into a system to keep busy, like chores just something, and not allow to think about it then when timer goes off, clean area and inject. This way it became that I was not focused as much. Sweety, you only have to hold it down for 10 seconds or until the window turns yellow, and you should pinch the meat on the spot that you're gonna inject. It cuts down on the pain. I've been sef injecting Humira since 2017. You will get use to it, and it will start to hurt less..

I developed RA when I was 18, and eventually took Humira for awhile. I saw a doctor online Dr.McDougal that talks about eating a plant based diet for diseases like RA and other diseases. I did his diet for a year, and it helped heal the RA I was dealing with. Not saying it’ll work but it helped me, I don’t use Humira anymore.
I would recommend total opposite, keto diet, keto is the king of anti-inflammatory effect among diets. If plant based diet does the job for You guys without any side effects, go along but I am not a fun.

Hope that for what ever reason you are taking the Humira that you benefit from it. Took me a long time of testing different meds before I found the one that works best for me. Went from Humira to Embrel to remicade and now I'm taking cimzia which are not auto pens, but are traditional shots. Good luck to you
@@7LilTish9 I have Ankylosing Spondolytis. I ended up stopping ALL medications this past August since nothing was helping. Rheumatologists get paid ALLOT of money to prescribe specific meds like these and if they don't work that well, then there is no sense to let them profit on your suffering.

Always take it out of the fridge for about 1 hour before using it, and second, you should lightly pinch the injection area with the other hand to raise the area you're injecting. Lastly, alternate the thigh you inject. Good luck 👍

Have you tried doing it in the stomach? That’s where I do mine and it seems like a softer spot than the leg. Also, the citrate free ones should hurt less.
It's free in Scotland.. they moved me from humira to amgivita , exact same thing just a lot cheaper to buy from suppliers. So look into buying that instead.
I've been a t1d for the past 19 years best thing I ever did was get a insulin pump but explore your options they are expensive beware if your insurance doesn't cover it or you can't afford it keep doing what your comfortable with
That's tough stuff! I go to the local infusion center every Tuesday for a month and then take a month off and do it all over again. I get a large needle in the tummy that takes roughly 1.5 minutes to completely infuse. It's not easy, but it's worth it for what it does for my symptoms...stay strong!
My wife was on humira for a long time. It stopped being effective and now has moved to embrel. She chose the regular prefilled needle syringe for those. I have to give it to her once a week.

You don’t have to use these injections. There are automatic insulin pumps nowadays that you can attach and carry. They just require you to do a shot just once to connect the needle

Hey I use to have those with Crohns. Tip: Pinch some of ur leg fat when doing it, it’ll help a bit.

My ex has M.S. and had an auto injector for her meds. She clouldnt push the button. I had to. Be proud of the strength it takes to do this.
Let it sit in room temp for 30-45 minutes before taking it. I was on it for Crohn’s disease a while back and letting it “thaw” helped with the pain
I think it’s worth trying Methylene blue in a course of 1 ml per 10 kg of weight, 1% pharmacy solution and adding curcumin at 1500 mg with bioperine.
