Danish TV show host Signe Molde meets circumcision supporters.
From the Danish television website:
"It is a national sport to make fun of what one does not understand. But what happens if you tell your jokes to those you make fun of? In this program series, Signe Molde meets a number of people with strong attitudes or a marked lifestyle to investigate what they can laugh at together ... and what they can not. In this section, Signe steps on the most tender political toe: namely circumcision of boys. For can politicians well understand that some people laugh at their speech being ignored? And can the Jews well understand that some laugh at the fact that they call it an ancient tradition of cutting in healthy boy children?

I'm astonished at how politicians talk about the right to freedom of religious practice when it comes to circumcision but doesn't mind banning burqa's from public places. Afaik only one of those things causes pain and blood.

And what about the babies religious freedom? Maybe they won’t identify as Jewish when they are older. I know it’s taboo but the argument from religion is one of the worst. Up there with “It has always been done in our family”.

Also know that circumcision in Abrahamic religions (Judism and Islam) are not the biblical procedure done to Abraham, Issac, Ishmael, Jacob, and Jesus. The very tip was all that was cut in those days. The radical cut today was invented by bad Pharisees in approximately 180 CE in response to hellinization of Jewish men wanting to participate in Greek society such as nude sports... point is if they could change for the worse they can and should change for the better. Ignorance is not an excuse.
