Visited The Medieval City Of Esslingen And Christmas Market. Experienced a unique Christmas market this holiday season near Stuttgart! Take a thrilling trip back in time at the Esslingen Medieval Market and Christmas Market, which sees merchants dress up in historical costumes to peddle their special wares to shoppers, just like they did hundreds of years ago.
more than 100 booths, offering everything from traditional crafts to handmade soaps and regional German specialities, the Esslingen Market in Baden-Württemberg is one of the largest in the region. For close to four weeks in the run-up to Christmas, visitors will be able to enjoy the authentic atmosphere created by dedicated vendors and merchants wearing historical garments.
There is no entry fee to the EsslingenChristmas market.
Glühwein: Expect to spend 4-5EUR before pfand (deposit). The pfand runs a few Euro, but you get it back when you return your mug.
Food: Food will vary greatly. You can spend 5-8EUR for some snacks and up to 24EUR for a meal. There’s a lot of variation in between.
Bathrooms: Expect to spend 1€ (EUR) each time you use the restroom. Look for the WC sign (water closet).
