Bill always referred to you as his "truck driver". Bill was a great guy and knew I dreamed of being an off-driver. When a Mexican driver by the name of Alphonso Barbosa purchased one of Bill's older 4 wheel drive Broncos being prepared for the Mint 400, by Jaime Martinez, he recommended me to Alphonso as a co-driver. I finished the race and never heard from him again. After Bill moved from his Shell Hill location, it was taken over by John's Porsche. He built ma a Class 1 single seater which I raced in the Baja 500 . Started with Parnelli Jones in front of me in his Blazer and Mickey Thompson behind me in his Marine sponsored single seater.
First time Ive ever been cab during a baja type race. So kick ass incredible. Cant believe the speed and calmness of these guys. Thank Ypu for the Ride.
