Fabulous card Mindy 🥰 I love your ink blending, your little scene and your tutorial ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx I hope you will feel better soon 🙏
Mindy, I agree, FABULOUS!!! I’m in such awe of this card, I can’t even. 😍 (if they had a fainting emoji, I’d insert that here 🙃) To be honest, I was so completely spellbound by that gorgeous moon glow, I didn’t even notice the splatter in the overlapping trees until you did it! 😅 But that’s a really great tip, TFS! Now, off to go marvel at your card some more… 🤩
Love your card. Your moon you did looks three dimensional. Now I want to play with my stencil like that. Darn I have to work instead. Thank you for sharing your tips and techniques. You always amaze me with your creations.
Hi Mindy - Once again you knocked out of the card making park. I did not have the stamps/dies you used to create the card. I did have similar things in my large, no huge stash. Yup borrowed the idea, and yup used the so I can place spatter everywhere is just "where" I want it! thanks again for all you do across all creative fields.
I have usually done Antique Linen for a glow around a moon (and to go over the moon), but I agree that something like Tumbled Glass might be better for a more wintry scene. Thanks for the idea - I had never really thought of that! Something else I often do is go over the moon with Antique Linen or Lost Shadow (a new favorite) in original Distress ink, and then ink blend white pigment ink over that to soften & lighten the color. Recently, I started ink blending a moon with Lost Shadow & got too heavy handed with my foam dauber & ended up with a grey SPOT on my moon, that would not blend out! I tried my white ink trick, to no avail. Finally - in pure desperation - I smeared some white acrylic craft paint over the moon with my finger. It turned out to be one of the best moons I've ever made! I was so happy, not only to have fixed it, but just that it looked sooooo good! So another tip to add to your bag of tricks. :) Anyway, thank you for sharing - I LOVE the finished card. I hope, if you aren't over your sickness already, that you will be soon. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I use the post it tape too and you’re right, it doesn’t leave a residue when I use it like that. However, I find it leaves a residue when using to hold dies in place for cutting. I have tried all the tapes I can find in my die cutting machines and cannot locate one that holds, but comes off easily and leaves no residue. This is lovely, TFS!
I agree - the pressure from the die cut machine makes it leave a residue. I've been trying to be more mindful about my placement of tape when die cutting.
Wow! Wonderful card. Mindy, when I do a search with this stamp ,set name your video does not come up? It would be great to find it for future reference when using this stamp set. Is there a way to add the stamp set name in title so it comes up ona search?
I try not include stamp set names in the titles very often because it limits the search on UA-cam but I totally understand what you mean. You can "like the video" which will save it in your liked section and I believe you can even create your own playlist and save the video there. I hope that helps.
So pretty!❤

P.s. Mindy , Will sets like this be restocked if they sell out since they are SSS own sets?
