As a big fan of Springsteen for 38yrs, I would never normally say any cover of his songs are any good. But yeah...... I actually do like this guys version

Let's not forgot the Boss was not a geezer when he released this song... but I saw him a few years ago and he was stage diving at 70, in addition to playing a 3+ hour set ... he is the fuckin Boss.
Two different interpretations, equally valid. Bruce is feisty and raring to get out of his funk. Sam is more contemplative, and melancholy. Damn, what a great song.

I'm a lover of the original by Bruceyyyy but I absolutely adore Sam and his voice. He is fantastic. I'm seeing him in December, I cant fucking contain my excitement, he is so different to the music nowadays, we need more like him. Listen to this amongst the rest of his music daily. He is beautiful

I was carpooling with a guy from work and he started blasting this guy's music in his car. After about 3 songs, he screamed, "how do you like this music!?" And I was like, "Do you dig Springsteen?" And he filled up with more joy and said, "yeah, this guy was inspired by him!"

Finally sat down to listen to this guy after hearing the name rolling around (I'm mid 30's and reaching that age when new music flies by already).
First listen to Seventeen Going Under and I got immediate Springsteen vibes. He's obviously a big fan and it's throughout his music and tone. This was a terrific cover that still has his own touch.
I'd be happy for this lad to stick around and make some more great tunes.
