I have tried all different ways to get a zipper worked in and this is the easiest way I've tried. Thanks so much now I can remake the pouch I started and never finished. It will look a lot nicer with even spaces.
You know, it's taking time away from my cruise homework, LOL. I know I have over a year but I already started.

I’ve used this technique a was taught by Tinna who makes beautiful mosaic designs here on UA-cam. My suggestion would be to use a sharper needle when making your base stitches.

And strenuous on the finger tips. That's why I use the embroidery thread and a sharp needle.😊❤

Or use a sharp steel crochet hook, you can just puncture the zip from the top then pull up the loops of yarn when you pull the hook back out!

Just finished making 40 zipper pouches. I used a blanket stitch for the beginning and left it connected to the skein so no end to weave.
