BARTA, short for Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority, operates public transportation through Berks County. All their bus routes originate at BARTA Transportation Center in Reading, PA. As of recording this video, BARTA's fleet consists of 49 buses: 46 Gillig BRT Hybrids and 3 Gillig Low Floor Plus Hybrids.
This is actually my first time seeing BARTA's bus fleet up close and personal, and just as shockingly my first time seeing a Gillig Low Floor PLUS in person
There are also 4 Gillig BRT straight Diesel buses that were not active at the time I was there. I'm not sure if they're just inactive or retired.
Location: BARTA Transportation Center, 701 Franklin Street, Reading, PA, USA
Routes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22
Vehicles Featured:
Gillig BRT HEV
Gillig Low Floor PLUS HEV
Recorded on a Sony a6000 with the F4 18-105 G OSS lens

That's amazing I never heard of BARTA until now. Thanks for the info
There is another agency, Red Rose Transit, both of these companies are owned by the same people.
Ugh I miss the days of riding BARTA. I ride Septa now, and it ain’t the same anymore :(.
BARTA has a really clean looking fleet. I didnt see any damage or dirt in this video.
Agreed! I couldn't even tell which ones were old because of this!
Great Catch
Need bus from west reading to reading
what part of reading? because there are a couple buses from the transitcenter that runs to west reading.
They need some cngs
BAE transmissions ? 🤔
Ya
What’s the difference between the LF Plus and LF?
It has the headlights and roof of the BRT plus. Basically looking like a mix between the two.
The LF plus is a modern redesign of the advantage with the BRT like lights in the front and the rear of the advantage. And a higher roof like it's holding cng tanks
