Like @NewEnglandDirtRoadie mentioned, how is this channel not as big as the other bikepacking and adventure channels? The edits are actually better quality than a lot of the bigger channels. You have a gift for wringing out many emotions from the viewers as we watch. The edits are funny, beautiful, inspiring and relaxing all mixed into one. It's also nice that you mix it up with multiple types of adventures. I love the winter videos. It's my favorite thing on UA-cam to watch.
Well thank you! Those bigger channels are quite impressive and I'm not sure I'm to that level of quality yet but thats very kind. The UA-cam algorithm rewards a channel that posts once every week or more. So if I had the time to post more often then the channel would be larger. It's sort of a quantity over quality approach to make a channel grow when its small. Not to say that there aren't channels that do both very well but yourube prioritizes pushing a channel that posts a lot over any other criteria. I spend a lot of time on each edit, finding the right music, color correcting every clip alone takes hours but the finished result is well worth it vs. a non color graded video, especially since I only film with a gopro. Then as I start adding in zooming, sound editing, etc, laying out the storyline after going through the footage, one episode takes at least 15 hours of total time to complete. Then the upload process, description writing, etc is another few hours. I love the entire process though but if I just posted more to post more I wouldn't be able to offer something I'm proud of. Unless this was my only "job" then I could post weekly. Maybe someday but I truly do it because I genuinely get fulfilment out of sharing the things we love and hearing the amazing comments.
That’s one of the rail trails I just showed my friends for us to do soon! Tomorrow we do minuteman bikeway for some history and nice riding. We’re working our way up to a multi day ride! Love watching you two and finding inspiration and inner peace at the same time.
Oh wow! What a beautiful comment. Thank you! It's soothing to know that you enjoy them. You and your friends will love it! We haven't tried the minuteman. I'll have to check that out.
I think I'll definitely have to ride this route. You somehow came within a few miles of my current house and my previous 2 houses (in 2 states)! It's great seeing you two also enjoying the area.
that rail trail at the 4:24 mark looks exactly like the one from Millerton NY to the Metro North train station in Amenia NY. that took me into Grand Central Station the scenery, terrain and everything
Oh cool! We've yet to ride anywhere in NY but been wanting to bikepack in the Adirondacks Region. Now with what you described we might check that rail trail out as well. Thanks!
We walked with our dog on this trail so didn’t do the whole thing, but we were so impressed with it. The little houses on the Cheshire part of the trail were so cool
Agreed, I used to think that bikepacking was better in just a wild setting but I've now come to the conclusion that it's the mix of wild places, small towns, even a bit of open road, and the people that make a trip special. How've you been?
@@ThatMountainMoment I have been doing good! I often say in my videos that rail trails are awesome but sometimes they can be like tree tunnels and you can miss a lot of cool places if you don't get off the trail once in awhile. I agree it's a mix of all the things you mentioned. I am going to be working on my passport situation in the very near future and would still love to put together something with you guys next year! anyways I hope both of you are doing great. Cheers
I do agree that the rail trails are more of a main highway for scenery sometimes. That's what I loved about this particular one is that it really was the best option for views in regards to where the route was heading. Yes! We would still love to link up whenever that works for you.
you missed another opportunity for "This Paranormal Moment" in Adams MA. there was a haunted train tunnel there. i think its abandoned? maybe not though? its definitely haunted.

The rail trail was just repaved 2 or 3 years ago. It's one of the best parts of my commute.
Binging this series again! Cant wait for your bikepacking content this year!
Thank you. Can't wait to share it!

Awe man I wish we knew that at the time. It would have been awesome to meet you in person

Yeah the Cheshire part was really cool. Very impressed with the entire thing.
I love touring through towns with history to them! Another great video guys!

Loved that rail trail! Great ride!
It really is awesome!
am midway in the video, but trust me your asses gonna be blessing you for choosing this route😁
Bwahahaha! We would have to agree lol!
Come to Maryland, we’re lousy with rail trails! Through the whole state
We plan on it. I want to experience spring in Maryland.

i think its abandoned? maybe not though? its definitely haunted.
There's so many paranormal opportunities in New England, maybe you're onto something...perhaps another channel in the making lol Love It!
The Hoosic Tunnel. Def haunted
