Tank Akali might sound like nonsense in Summoner's Rift, but with how much damage there is, being able to live longer allows you to sustain your DPS better over longer periods of time, which happens to work quite well with our AD, the relatively-short cooldown of Eclipse, and the Center of the Universe Prismatic Augment we started the game with!
A full AP assassin might not be assassinating tanky juggernauts like Mordekaiser any time soon, and with a tank and bruiser-dominated Arena, getting enemies low enough in the first place for our second Ult cast might prove more troublesome with a squishy AP build than it's worth!
