You have to be such a sucker to buy Breguet to be honest. 10x more than Grand Seiko's and Rolex's? I don't even like Rolex's, but for a watch maker to claim their watches are 10x the price of a Rolex is outlandish.
I've never seen a Box Sapphire Crystal used on the Movement side before, that's SUCH a cool distinguishing feature. WAY more brands should be offering that. Honestly using blued Screws, custom rotor with DLC coating and having a exhibition caseback should be standard practice IMO for any watch that sells over $1.5kusd. They elevate the watch so much whilst only adding slightly to the cost.
Never purchased a FC until I saw this watch in person. Looks much more impressive and richer in person. The layering of the dial's applied indices, the basket weave and sunray outer border looks very unique together with the magnification/3D effect the curved sapphire glass creates. The ultra magnification of this video almost detracts compared to the naked eye real world view. The dial really looks high end in person.
I just got a Constant for my birthday. I tossed a nice third-party strap on it the whole package is just beautiful. Might be my best looking watch IMO.
My dad wears a rolex and he complimented my friend who was wearing FC classic in an event. My dad even said that after a very long time he has seen such an elegant and beautiful dress watch and such a good crafted watch. This watch really stands out if paired with right suit or polo shirt
Just picked up the Zelos Eagle 2 Ti Meteorite with the La Joux Perret G100 Soigné movement. Paid right at $899. And the LJP movement is the +- 7 seconds a day in 5 positions versus the +- 12 seconds in 4 positions the standard LJP G100 that the Frédérique watch is using in this video, Love micro brands like Zelos!
Likewise recently purchased the Zelos Eagle 2 Ti with the dial I would call sapphire blue. Simply stunning!! The La Jeux Peret G100 is in utilized in a few of their models and it’s a great choice
I've got a 2021 Highlife - it's the only watch that's stayed in my collection, has never come close to being 'boredom flipped', and will be there for the foreseeable future. I've had a Classics Manufacture, picked up real cheap. It was a beautifully made thing, but ultimately flipped as I always felt I should be attending the Ambassador's Ball when wearing the thing.
How do you like the Highlife? I have a Rolex that I’m thinking of selling to get a FC highlife. Rolex is great but sadly got bored with it since mostly everyone has one now and days. The FC highlife has been on my top grail for the longest but would love your input on it.
@@leomedina5614 it's well worth a look - really well executed case design, QR system for the three straps is really good (I usually wear on the bracelet and keep the rubber one in my briefcase if I fancy a change during the day). Can't fault it at all. I've got the OG blue 41mm, but I think the newer ones are maybe a touch smaller. FC says 39. I'd probably go for grey dial if I was buying again. The blue is dynamic, but very vivid, so sometimes clashes with clothing.

2-3 changes I'd make to this design for my own taste. 1.Remove the minute indicators and reduce the size to 37mm. Can also reduce the size of the hour markers which would make the minute hand reach the minute track. Can even go down to 36mm by doing this. 2. Make the blued hands and indices actually blue (like the movement screws). They ARE blued from what I've heard, but to the point of being a black color.
The FC I'm most interested is their slimline monolithic. Doesn't seem to get much press for the most revolutionary movement since quartz, and most revolutionary mechanical movement since the mechanical escapement. I haven't seen many hands-reviews and would like to see one from a trusted source.

Frederique Constant usually borrows a lot of design elements from other brands. Especially from Breguet. They not really have a style that is typically their own. That said, I love the look of this one.
Have you seen the platinum case big date with meteorite dial? For $28k?? GTFO! You could put together an impressive collection of FC at a modest budget (maybe $20k), or a stunning collection for $40k. No other brand can really say that.

The probelm of this brand is the brand name stamped in the middle of the dial. Maybe they should choose a more attractive logo and forget about that oblong name

Beautiful watch, although I do not like they have both Roman and Arabic numerals on dial. It is a dress watch, the less the better. Also lose that AUTOMATIC, it is just not necessary and it makes the dial less elegant.

FC is totally under appreciated, they do very decent dress watch
This model should be a mainstay in the collection. Limiting it to only 500 pieces is a Seiko move by FC.

Lovely range...my only gripe is the minute hand that is a bit too short. Almost the same size as the hour hand.

It's called the "watchmaker's" 4 and goes back hundreds of years so as not to confuse IV and VI in certain angles.
