truth to be told. Amanda acknowledged she was defeated but Fran claimed that, because she fainted, it was Amanda the one that won. that's why Amanda teased Fran but didn't force her to meet her side of the bet. Fran was having a practice match. Amanda was forced to use a skill with a 24h cooldown. in a practice match you don't use that kind of skill. I wonder how Fran would had fought on a do or die battle.
I think the reason why Amanda never truly forced Fran to call her “mama” was because she is well aware how she would be having a hard time accepting someone as a new parent to her. She IS after all the Guardian of the Children. Plus, she knows Fran’s parents which adds more reasons why she never force her. She knows its hard accepting someone as a parent, so Amanda continues acting like her mom just so it’ll slowly help her accept Amanda as her mom.
Fran will still lose in a do or die battle, even with Sword dad's help. Evolved Fran with sword dad's help still loses, only this time it is a very, very close match and Amanda also got way stronger when they fought.
@@neumann7888 I find it interesting that the LN author decided to actually make the main two character lose a lot in the story. I can't remember what volumes but isn't there like a large gap in time where Fran literally either barely wins or straight loses a bunch of battles. Pretty brutally sometime too. I was super surprised how gritty and dark the story got sometimes when compared to a lot of other isekai. Fran goes through some rough stuff!
@@DaJodad That is in a sense what happens in this story from the start. Like Fran is really struggling against a goblin horde with sword dad only casts support and heals or against the demon that dungeon master summoned. This story has a balanced power system where it kinda is impossible to become an OP MC without consequences. In Vol 10, it's revealed that Sword dad is in a very, very dangerous situation because he has too many skills that are not used or redundant or even has effects that counters other skills
I really disagree. So far from what I've seen of her, she has bothered and stalked Fran to the point where Fran has to challenge her to a match to get her to leave her alone. Then in said match she goes too far (Which Amanda admits) to the point of injuring her to unconsciousness and she even used a Last ditch skill to pull out a win. I think Fran deserves an apology, this is not how you should treat someone you wish to have a relationship with. Or anyone really.
@@thetinygraydog3134 What bothers me more is that she keeps demanding to be called Mama even though if she cares about children so much she should have realized that Fran is still very attached to the memories of her deceased mother and would be very hurt having to call anyone else mother.
@@combastion5227 Well true, but in the anime ep 12, it's show that Amanda 'forcing' Fran calling Mama because Fran resembles someone to her, two troublemaker that are black cats that call Amanda well.. Mamanda like Fran did. Pointing out that Amanda is a caretaker of Fran's parents. It seems Amanda stuck herself in the past for her weakness and didn't think for Fran's feeling by instinct.
she wasnt looking down on her, she just doent want her to end up like her parents...Amanda was the owner of an orphanage that raise both her parents and she recognizes her...in a sense, Amanda is Fran's grandmother
And here's where I started to hate amanda. She nearly killed Fran multiple times in a duel, when there's a massive power gap between them, of literally anything was of she would have killed the one person that would make her regret things the most.
Yep, Although her intentions may be right according to her but her methods are wrong and her involvement is unneeded, what she did is actually player bullying (fighting someone who's much lower ranked and lower levelled than you and using skills and cheats that are much higher) not only does she not possess an ounce of chivalry and fairness but also lacks basic common sense
@@IchiroIchigo @isdrakon9802 I think both of you are missing the point of this scene. The entire reason Amanda wanted a serious battle with Fran it's because she feels responsible for the death of Fran's parents which decided to become adventurers against Amanda's wishes. You can question her methods all you want but the moment Amanda saw that Fran was following the same path as her parents, instead of repeating the same mistake of trying to convince her to stop being an adventurer, she went ahead and gives Fran a "Practical Lesson" (*minor spoilers ahead:* this sparring match is vital for the future growth Fran has later as a Swordmaster). So, even if she went too far on their match, Amanda's reasons for doing it are understandable in the context of the story
@@DanielSilva-to8fo a practical lesson that almost killed her multiple times, I'm sure Fran's parents would've been overjoyed hearing their mother killed their child.
