I just ordered one because it runs on 18650s, I have used those batteries for yrs and they are so versatile and can be charged and discharged 1000s of times, great review

Great review William. My oldest Son earned his first bachelors degree in Meteorology, so I remember devices like that well. I think we bought hin a different one each of the four years he was in college. I gave you a 'Like', of course :)

Thank you for the like and the comment. I picked up a NOAA radio that stays plugged into the wall years ago at Goodwill. I like the fact that this one is portable and runs on a 18650 cell, something I keep around for flashlights anyway. Thank you for the like and the comment!

@@ThriftyAV You have reminded me of something on my 'To Do' before the end of the summer. We get hit by hurricanes quite often in August to November (here on Long Island), so I need to pick one of these up before that is upon me.

It's a neat little thing, I like that it has AM and FM but why would anybody really need the weather band? It sounds fun to listen to that but unless you were trapped in some shed or something in the middle of nowhere, why would that come in handy? Wouldn't just the regular news on AM tell you all you needed to know concerning the weather?
