Providing Wifi in flight is definitely a good idea as long as they don’t charge an arm and a leg for it. Last time I was in a flight they provided a local wifi that only gave access to their movie collection.

Game-changing airlines such as JetBlue offer free inflight WiFi for all passengers with inflight entertainment on their own screen systems and are charging less in some cases than US legacy airlines. Shows a lot about the way airlines are heading, and soon may kill off some legacy carriers.

wish there was an app you could put your own content on, then have the app give you an interface like the IES

Beautiful informative video. It's a shame how few subscribers you have :(

5:57 the problem about stream to your device is that a lot of airlines don’t get power sockets installed to save money, what if your on a 10 hour flight, you have no ife, and your device has no battery left, and your power bank either sucks or you don’t have one

I think that Wifi on aeroplanes is a brilliant idea, because they don't have to worry about providing content.

Ruben, yeah interesting, it’s really the direction most airlines want to move in as some have already made the transition, making the seat back screens obsolete in some cases.
