You are right when you say you might not get a second chance to help a particular seal, but it was a lucky day for this pup. Thank you for saving the chunky little soul, Antoine and Denzil❤ OCN is remarkable team of dedicated people.
@lhoward9593 My comment got deleted fsr... 😮 There are sadly way too many needles in this haystack. And (also sadly in a way) the team has gotten very good at finding them ❤
Those wee chunky bodies 🥰 I would be tempted to cuddle each one, thats why I would be hopeless and wrong as a rescuer. Thank goodness for OCN and the amazing work you do ❤
Вы их старшему заранее списки тех кого отлавливать собираетесь подавайте,чтоб остальные не беспокоились и зря не бегали.А из пожеланий -удачи Вам , сил и терпения.
Amazed by the team and every rescue. You’re doing incredible work for the seals and education. The most important thing we can do is observers is to think about our use and disposal of plastic waste.
That was fantastic, literally a last second rescue and it was a very sore deep would, thank you Antoine and Denzil for saving this beautiful seal. OCN heroes each and every one of you.
I wonder how quickly they start feeling better. The closest thing I can use to relate is a bad splinter. Hurts all the time, is painful when being dug out, but almost instantly starts feeling better even though the surrounding tissue has to heal up.
And of course the seal in question is never at the edge of the group. Its somewhere further in the big group. Not that it deters Tony or the rest of OCN.
Catch a seal at the last moment (and often already in the water, then this is for Tony), and then gently persuade the seal to cooperate, then call Denzil, because he will free any seal from any garbage. Then kick (shake) the seal out of the net, make a video, and please us all Thanks, guys! Today is October 8, 2024. This wonderful channel has 2.1 million subscribers.
Oh, wet nets. 😐 Lugging all that water sopped material around while trying to find the next rescue can not be fun. Excellent work from the team, before, during and after each rescue to be able to continue to help the seals.
It amazes me how a team member, while in the midst of netting one patient, is able to scan and spot a distant entangled seal for the others. It was Tony’s turn on this day to pull double duty. Well done Tony! 🦭🌊💙
It seems to be a secondary skill which they learn with experience while watching out for any fleeing seals barreling into them while they're dealing with the one in the net. It does show a level of awareness of the area around them which is fantastic.
Only a few months old and the pup was in trouble because of human indifference 😢. Thankyou OCN. 🤗💝🏴

I honestly wish the world was just filled with hearts like the OCN team.

It's like finding a needle in a haystack!
Yes, I agree, and there are way too many needles in this particular haystack 😢 @@lhoward9593
While finding that particularly seal again may be quite unlikely, finding another entangled seal in that group isn't anywhere near as difficult. 😢

Maybe they understand that they are not strong enough to be all alone or to be on the edge of the group. Maybe it is safer in the middle
Hopefully it is a good sign he was "chunky"! You guys are the best.
👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼
Well done!
