Don't get a Spinner Bot's title confuse with a Vertical Spinner Blade Bot's title. Spinner bots are those up-side-down blows that spin around and kill selves when they hit their opponent. But anyway, Yea. Just thought I'd say it.
Well Subzero had the right idea but their internals clearly didn't survive first contact, if they did and they could pin Icewave it would have been all over. Then again I prefer Icewave going forward just for the carnage.
according to the rules you can't pin a bot and have it counted out you would have to release afer 10 seconds or something. you would have to render the opponent unable to move or stick it on top of one of the hazards in a way it couldn't get down.

Man if they could've found a way to make that spinner more durable Icewave would have swept the competition. The spinner gave out in almost every fight it was in but always dealt crazy damage.

Subzero isnt even a bad robot, it just got torn to hell by icewave before it could do anything and then it just wouldnt work correctly when their giant blade finally broke lol

Sub-Zero durability it's freaking incredible. The held out hits from the toughest of every season and still functioning. I don't know how it can survive its fight against HUGE.
There needs to be a less destructive version of this that has additional goals like capture the flag, or navigating certain gates etc to get points... and affect the abilities of the players. Like Mario Cart! Maybe you get a turbo boost but the other guy can only go in reverse. Maybe you win by knocking off standardized objects on the bots or hitting certain sensors like physical laser tag?
+Quinn Howie Yeah, but I think what Zero was pointing out was that SubZero's srmech was tough enough to function even after taking serious hits, as opposed to Nightmares' srmech failing almost immediately.
Lomostopmotion Yeah, I heard a bit on that, it was a issue of software/hardware rather than damage. It's a clever bit of engineering (and very cool to see an old-school bot adapting like this), though it seems like it's a little over-complicated compared to what's been done, and that's a downfall of it.
You'd imagine they'd stress test a bit of it beforehand. I know they HAD one, but it broke, or malfunctioned, or whatever. As Jio said, it's a sweet thing to see old bots adapting, but there's just simple things that could be worked out without destroying the bot, but hitting it a good time or 2 to see what happens.

Spinners aren't very popular in the UK, at least from what I remember. I think the advantage would be in the USA's favor.
Tombstone would tear through Carbide, and Bite Force could beat Apollo. Don't even get me started on Minotaur.
I haven't seen the UK version but replace Biteforce with Bronco. Last season's primary weapon rule hurt it badly. and the ladybug needs a redesign.

If you hear closely, I think it's the chain that broke. Right after the hit there is what sounds like a chain getting loose. I'm not sure though.
