The game is a gem, it is interesting seeing a newcomer exploring the interface and the gameplay. I played it for a week, a year ago, and can tell you there are so many facets, the game is so well designed that is addictive. My personal favorites are upgrading two swords (their length up to 6m with different mods which you get as a reward during battles, melees in particular, the designers craftily give you better mods when you fought bravely - with forcing forward (run) if you did huge damage with constant rushes you was given better mods as more damage, more length...)
It is good (a fast way to learn the ropes) to start survival in the tropic area by adjusting settings to suit your learning curve, give for example more time for the incoming waves, even 30 minutes, the maximum difficulty is very hard in first few days, after that you will learn that walls are overrated, my advice is to focus your attention on the layout (clustering your buildings in ways that most important are defended by less important, generally walls have to be in one level and far from the buildings). Constantly chopping trees and bushes and grass is good practice, simply charging forward has to be your way of moving.
I managed to play on bigger maps 10+x for 3 days reaching insane defending perimeter nearing the edges of the map, growing your own plants will allow you to upgrade your weapons with rare elements as Ferdonite. Once boosting your weapons and towers, you will want to increase the wave strength, I reached 300% and can tell you the whole screen starts shaking and the battles are captivating, the game is not some RTS or RPG - it is action of high caliber.

@@Sanmayce wow thank you so much for that. I really wish I had more time to play this, I really liked what I’ve played so far. Definitely want to revisit it again when time permits, I honestly thought this was going to be a relaxing break from other games I’m currently playing 🤣

@@ashram_bk I myself haven't played for a year due to lack of proper machine, also I am afraid that a whole month won't suffice to quench my passion to explore much bigger hordes of monsters, there are so many types and they are lovely, the massacre is really action-packed. The snails (one of the heaviest artillery monsters surrounded by several hundred brutal baddies is so cool).
See, when economic is stabilized (mostly energy production, you can produce carbonium and ironium after few upgrades) the game becomes mostly pure battle, the different weapons (when modded with example penetration mods and with splash damage boosts) are beautiful soundwise and colorwise, cannot describe what is to eliminate 1000+ enemies in 15 minutes non-stop exterminating. My technique is to drawn the enemy away from my bases by battling backwards, yes, walking backwards and dashing constantly in order to create more often stunt effect and gain more valuable mods, a lot of money is gained by selling unneeded mods.
My main hint to all inexperienced (I think a whole week is needed to master the interface and trees) players is to explore, explore and explore, for example using the scanner is a must since dozens of hidden under ground deposits/resources ar hidden. Also. upgrading the color of the grenade launcher and filling it with super mods will allow you to eliminate artillery and the hive spiders (who attack you with "biodrones") from afar while slashing with two beautiful long swords.
I played it on Acer laptop with Zen2 and 1060 GPU in FHD, but I do not recommend such a weak machine since the FPS were around 48, in the most packed battle moments the CPU is also important and rendering the effects of all kind of explosions slows down the ability to react and enjoy all the decays.
At the moment I have 5-6 ThinkPads but none of them is game capable, I wanna buy Lenovo LOQ with RTX 3050 and with 144Hz FHD monitor, but knowing how much I love this game several months will fly away.
Wish you to NOT LOSE the appreciative approach and mostly the joy of super melees - the super pressure.

i prefer to build the base around the rock as natural gate. Good protection within the coverage area.
