All of Judith McNaught’s historical books are amazing - my favorite is Once and Always. Also, I really love Julie Garwood’s The Bride and The Wedding - so good!
Please continue making historical romance contents. It is my favorite genre. I practically only read historicals and your suggestions are precious to me.
Well personally, your historicals content is my favorite so please keep it coming! Definitely adding all of these to my TBR, and I've got the Lorraine Heath book on hold at my library now

You are absolutely right about lorraine heath she likes deep stuff and this wonderful book made me tear up!!!!! You must read more by her. She is my absolute favorite historical romance author after lisa kleypas
Btw when it comes to historical romances Whitney my love by Judith McNaught is IT for me. I haven't read such a complete book. It's EVERYTHING a historical romance should be. I am new to romance and started trying out some historical. My favorite so far is Beyond Scandal and Desire by Lorraine Heath. I am so excited for all of her books. Your channel has really helped me figure out where to start with romance, btw :)
I love historical romances! I’ve been in the mood to read paranormal and historical romances this month. I’m reading The Duchess Hunt by Lorraine Heath right now and I am loving it!
Amanda Quick is amazing. The first I read of her was my aunt's copy of Mischief. I loved it the first time I read it. But you do need a fresh frame of mind for a re-read.
I love the duchess war by Courtney Milan. Can you also recommend stories with Dukes that are virgins before the heroine? Like the duke in "the duchess war". Thank you ^^
The Rogue of Fifth avenue by Joanna Shupe Bringing down the Duke by Evie Dunmore And the Widow wore Scarlet by Adele Clee These are my favourite historical romance books.
I know this is a year late and maybe you won’t even see this but wanted to add to the others when they said that HR is my favorite too. In fact, that’s the only type of romance I read. So I’m always ready to watch any recommendations you give! I found Lorraine Heath this year thanks to you! So keep the HR videos coming!
I recently read the first two book of the scandalous gentleman of st.james by Lorraine Heath and yesss I absolutely love those books. Can't wait to read the third book, that book is on the way to my home!
Amanda Quick books are always a great read, I think I've read a couple (or a-lot) of books from everyone of these authors and enjoyed them. Below is a couple of HR series that I have enjoyed. The Viking Haadrad Series & Malory-Anderson Family Series by Johanna Lindsey Spindle Cove by Tessa Dare Smithe Smith Quartet by Julia Quinn The Aincourts by Candace Camp Lindsey Sands also has many Historical Romance series which are great The Highland Brides series is one of them. Pirate, Viking (and others ?) by Fabio. Virginia Henley is amazing. The Viking Series by Sandra Hill is a time travel series which is very good and The Brides of Karadok & Vawdrey Brothers by Alice Coldbreath is a great Fantasy Historical Romance. Karadok being the country where these medieval romances take place, love them.
Both Lorraine Heath and Amanda Quick are instant buys for me. I cannot get enough of them. I am going to try your other recs because obviously we have similar taste. Thank you for the recommendations.
@@sterlingshellyann love her writing so much! I bought all her older historical books in paperback and have lost track on how many times I’ve read them all! Favorites are The Bride, Saving Grace and Honour’s Splendour but like I said I love them all. Those are just the ones I’ve reread the most.

This just proves that one man's trash is another man's treasure. I live for your historical romance recommendations, and religiously look for your goodreads reviews before jumping into an HR book! I have noticed your lack of reviews for Meredith Duran (particularly the Duke of Shadows, an absolute gem) and Sherry Thomas books though, two of my favorite angsty historical romance authors! Interestingly enough I also happened to read Ravished by Amanda Quick recently, as has everyone on the r/Romancebooks subreddit. Definitely a must read for every HR readers!
Loved loved loved Duke of Shadows ! I think it was recommended here , I loved the part in the second half where he pretends to be uninterested and cold towards her when she comes to see him , l bet I reread it twenty times so hilarious, and my lord he’s gorgeous . I haven’t read anything else by the author
Amanda Quick ALL her historicals.. Deception is one of my all-time faves. I call them Milky Way reads.. light and fluffy that don't fill you up (emotionally)...
I read Ravished after you read it recently and WOW what an amazing book. It would've been easy to use miscommunication to cause conflict but they just trust each other!!! Interested in what you read by her next
Going through the same phase, probably because it’s almost Christmas. Judith McNaught and Lisa Kleypas are my personal favorites but I’m happy to find more recommendations 😊
I just started reading Emma V Leech's "rogues and gentlemen" series. Book #2 "The Earl's temptation" is AMAZING! I loved the first one but the 2nd goes beyond! Now I move on to the third!
I have been an avid reader of historical romance books since the 1970's. If you haven't read Sweet Savage Love by Rosemary Rogers or The Flower and The Flame by Kathleen Woodiwiss, I would strongly suggest you read these. Both have a triology that leaves you breathless! Also check out Ashes In The Wind & Shanna. Again both by K. W. I've read these books so many times and they never fail me! I only wish these 2 wonderful writers would write again.

The second book in her Wild Wynchesters family series, The Perks of Loving a Wallflower and now I want to start reading them. Thanks so much for this, I love historical romance, it takes me to a world of no worries however there is this historical romance novel that I read years ago, I have searched everywhere online and offline to no avail, I guess the heroine's name is Millicent though not sure, a scarred lord who saved her from an embarrassing situation at a party by pretending to be her fiance, they later fell in love but I need to read it over again and I can't seem to remember the name, I need help.
I personally think the romance novels from the 80s and 90s were some of the best written. Not just in plot but overall grammar and word choice. Julia Quinn and a few other contemporary authors today are exceptions, but I've been finding more recent readings filled with fluff and lacking the wit and characterization development of previous authors.
