How does this compare to Vvivid films, which cost significantly less?

Have you folks posted any Lamin-X videos for more difficult headlights? I have a 2010 Forester that I used a different tint film on, and from my experience it takes some stretching when there are curves/nooks on a headlight. Id love to see a more difficult headlight done before I pay the premium price AND vouch/spread the word about Lamin-X :). Note -Your website shows precut kits for each vehicle, but I'm not sure how easy to work with this product would be.

Dolf, if it were me installing on what I would consider a complex shaped light, I'd use our Universal Sheets. Doing so will allow you to not have to be so concerned about lining up edges. Our sheets of Lamin-x are way more forgiving to work in these type scenarios. If there is a downside it will require trimming off the excess around the light but that seems relatively insignificant compared to doing an actual install with a precut kit. I hope that helps! - Ben

@@Laminxfilms thank you so much for the quick response! Does the structural strength of Lamin-X change at all when stretching/heating is needed for difficult shapes?
From what I've seen, your product seems to cure much more rugged and more solid than other tints I've used..but I'm concerned the required tugs where needed would compromise the cure.
      Thanks again!!

@@dolfowolfo1 we recommend not manipulating the film as you have talked about. All of our testing is done w/o taking such action. If any heating is done it should be done very light and minimal - getting popped bubbles to lay down and/or getting film to adhere properly to the edges. I hope that is of some help to you. - Ben

it's $60 for my car's headlights! Why wouldn't I just buy a small sheet of film for a third the cost and trim it myself? Anything special over regular film that justifies the cost?

You can certainly do whatever makes the most sense to you. Our precut kits are more expensive as we have more time, labor & technology invested in the actual production of the kit. Let me know if you have further questions. - Ben

I agree with you. I'll sacrifice perfect fit for third the cost. It'll still protect 99% of the headlight.
