Something we should learn from Ultras. True power is the ability to have such considerations and take them into account. This fits in with the use your imagination theme of ARC.
The overall conflict also reminds me a bit of the Ghighi's in Cosmos. After their failed attempt to shrink down humans and take their planet, a follow-up episode revealed that a civil war of sorts has broken out between the scientists who are close to finding an alternative new home, and the military who don't want to accept their previous defeat.
Arc's origins have some interesting parallels to Fio's and Planet Meguma's, and the Ze Su Gate is probably how Fio could talk to Kazuo near-instantly. Maybe that's how Givas came to Earth as well. Also, love the classic flight sound at 12:25 I was half-joking when I said Monogelos and Digelos might be references to Nexus' Space Beasts, but Zadime bearing the same "Galactic Beast" subtitle makes me believe I might actually be onto something. Zadime's a great blend of goofy and dangerous as well, I especially love the little run and Ace reference it does at 21:50 And calling it now, Arc will use the Onyx's power to create the Galaxy Armor
@@ViSauro yeah, I think it's a subtitle specific to kaijus affiliated with Ze Su, like how Chojus are almost always related to Yapool. Story-wise there are a bit more similarities, though unlike Ultraman chasing Bemular to Earth, Monogelos chased Arc to Earth instead. But tbh Bemular inspired so many 1st ep kaijus that nearly all of them pay homage to him in some way

small nitpick I had with Ultraman Z's dub was that the subtitles in the opening didn't match the lyrics when they started using the second version of the song. And I'm so happy that problem doesn't exist with Arc
In trigger and decker they changed subtly each episode, like they were doing the again and again when they could have just make one translations and stick to it.
@@snaildude268 I mean, I like how the theme subtly changes as the seasons progressed. Happens in Z, Trigger, Decker, Blazar, and now Arc. What I don't like is how in Z's dub, they didn't change the subtitles for the opening when the lyrics did change, unlike with Arc where they changed the subtitles
Another calm, relaxed, chill filler episode where *absolutely no plot points come together!* Nope! Totally not setting up the debut of Arc’s ultimate form, either! And most certainly not teasing the final confrontation, too! (Real talk; I LOVE the direction this is going. It reminds me of Z and Trigger!)
This was an incredible episode, answering a lot of questions about Arc's backstory and motivation in a really satisfying way. Also, enormous respect to the special effects crew. They've been going crazy every week, but the shot of The Seal rising up out of the forest looked phenomenal. The CGI was easily better than half of Hollywood's movies.
It was the previous episode where the name Onyx was dropped and already we are getting answers the very next episode and as if that wasn't another big bombshell it turns out Arc had an enemy and they have arrived to finish what they had started. So it turns out Arc or Rution as his name was wasn't fighting a random kaiju out in space but rather a kaiju sent after him by Arc's leader turned enemy whose plan to reverse the Red Giant phase of their sun would incinerate Earth. So Rution is an Ultra from another galaxy whose sun called Sonia has turned into Red Giant threatening to expand and incinerate all planets that orbit it. One of the leaders of the planets in that galaxy Ze Su proposed a solution to stopping Sonia from expanding and that is using an artificial wormhole system he created that would absorb Sonia's energy and disperse it into another galaxy. During prediction testing, the Milky Way was one of the discharge points but that would come at the cost of the incineration of that galaxy especially Earth. The council of planets was not about to sacrifice one galaxy for their salvation rejected Ze Su's plan but Ze Su acted on his own and activated it. As such Rution by their leader's instruction was sent to Earth to seal the Ze Su gate. Rution succeeded in sealing the gate but wound up dropping it during his fight against Monogelos sent by Ze Su to stop him. From there we know the rest. I am guessing the sealed Ze Su gate is what caused the kaiju appearances across Hoshimoto City for 16 years since. Rution sitting next to Yuma explaining the truth to him is a neat spin on human partner and Ultra talking to each other but it is kind of sad to see Rution coming out to Yuma for not being able to save his parents back then. Ze Su's followers after 16 years has arrived on Earth and intend on finishing what they had started. While Rution's friends along with the other leaders are searching for an alternate solution, Ze Su is dead set on saving their galaxy whatever it takes. Seeing Sweed able to enter Rution's mirrorscape and Zadime using cubic manifestation only further humanizes Rution showing he's just one of many among them who can manipulate cosmic matter and energy showing his civilization is incredibly advanced and that there are likely others among Rution who could do what he can do but better. The previous episodes told tales of planets and civilizations that have gone extinct or were going extinct by their own hands or by natural means such as pollution or a moon dying out. Rution's homeworld is another one of those tales where his galaxy's sun has become a red giant and while a solution has been proposed it's one that comes at the price of sacrificing another galaxy. A plan forcibly executed out of desperation and the main villains that Ultraman Arc faces isn't some foreign alien threat like all the other Ultras have faced but instead are people from his own galaxy. It's not even a tyrant or mad scientist either but a galactic leader acting out of desperation to save their civilization. I hate to say this but this Ultra series while a bit more lighthearted in terms of tone and message, there are dark and heavy undertones in it's storytelling and universe building that can be described as realistically cruel. Rin coming to terms her former mentor is no longer the man she once knew and that she's not a kid anymore is one thing, then there are the following episodes. The civilizations from other planets going into extinction show how little even an Ultra can do but even worse is the Ultra being nothing more than a man who was brought into conflict with his own people due to opposing mindsets with Earth being the battleground. Talk about taking a different spin in Ultraman storytelling by completely blurring the lines of good and evil. Second half starting straight with plot points drops from the midpoint episode and it's starting off strong.

Dateline Friday October 18th, 2024. What an EXPLOSIVE start to begin the second half of Ultraman Arc, and it did not disappoint! You can already tell this episode has scored an 11, but can it go to 11+? There's only one way to find out if it IS, and I have six takeaways to see if it's earned. With that said, here's my comment / review of Episode 14: Flash from the Past. One, Game, Set, Pregame. It starts off with Commander in Chief Nibuya and Shu Isidro meeting at a soccer field discussing about the Onyx Project, and it turns out that the lone Monohorn situated at Mt Shishio may have a connection to the findings, but what is it? Then a mysterious woman in black touched it...and it resonated. This could be the start of something... maleficent. Two, Something Wicked ( and Cubical ) This Way Comes. A mysterious voice shouted " I found you Rution, you picked a clever hiding place! "...then it appeared, a Cube of energy. It surrounded and trapped Yuma and Shu in its grasp, until Arc appeared and carried them away to safety. Then shielded in transparency, a monster shows up...and the woman was revealed. Who is she, and what was her reasons for being there? The plot DEFINITELY thickens, or rather, TURNS. Three, It's not Friday Night at the Theater, but there's a Reason for It. Arc transported Yuma to the other side of the theatre, while Shu is on the opposite side, and leads him inside. The reason for his presence and why he bonded with Yuma, is about to be told, and it picks up where Episode 3 touched 1/3 of the story 11 weeks ago, actually it's 14 weeks since we had the first Special Episode between episodes 5-7. Outside of Earth's galaxy, there lies a cluster of specialized galaxies, one of them is Arc's, or rather, Rution. Rution is Arc's ACTUAL name and there lies the source of it all...the Star Sonaia. One day, it suddenly hit a Red Giant stage and was expanding, much to the surprise of a mysterious being named Ze-Sura. He created a wormhole, the Ze-Surian Gate, to channel Sonaia's powers to the other galaxies, and to a potential endpoint... that would be Earth. Rution was sent by his guardians to seal off THAT end of the Gate before reaching Earth, and that's where the incident that occurred 16 years ago, reached its impact. Five, The Why, and the Continuation. The one who pursued Rution / Arc was in fact Monogelos, the source behind the lone Monohorn lodged at Mt Shishio, he was successful in stopping the devastating discharge from reaching Earth, but, the battle continued. There lies the events of the battle, Yuma's father and mother were killed by the impacting battle, and Rution saved Yuma before the Horn reached him, and we remembered those final words said by his father, " Time to Run, Yuma! " So NOW we learned the majority of what happened and where we stand...and the mysterious woman made her case and intentions loud and clear. Six, Her Name and a New Battle. The woman's name is Sweeda, an agent / follower of Ze-Sura, and with the information she siphoned out of Yuma / Arc, the key to reactivate the connection was revealed, outside of Mt Shishio. Yuma managed to save Arc from danger, but the REAL dangers are just getting started. She summoned the galactic beast, Zadeema, to battle, and so was Arc. Zadeema is a clever monster, a rock-like creature, with eyes that can be part of his horns as well as its actual location, just like how in Blazar last year Gelbarga has eyes at its center and his teeth shining above its head, or Irugo with its eyes on its sides, making it look like he has eyes on front and on the sides. And I see elements of Zaragas, energy discharging from its back, no blinding aftereffects, but powerful regardless. Arc quickly was near low energy and had to use his Luna Armor for backup, it went well, until Zadeema had the upper hand, and cutting the skies to escape, he, no, Sweeda left. Arc was pissed..and he passed out. Shu saw Arc vanished and Yuma laying on the ground, worrying about him, and received the call from Nibuya, saying the activity at Mt. Shishio was underway; the orb was stirring and the gateway was slowly getting stronger... What a cliffhanger, it was better than what happened while Givas was looking for something, and Yuma was puzzled at the time. This time, the threat and the danger has depth to it, and we can't wait to see what happens next! This was an episode that definitely deserves an 11, but since we found out more of Arc's origins and the reasons behind them, it's gets an 11+ for it. In under five minutes, we will find out if the connection is reestablished and can Yuma do something about it, and deal with Sweeda, the answer is YES, and a NEW Armor is born. The conclusion awaits us, Episode 15: The Wandering Future is on the horizon, and I can't wait to watch it! Will we get a second 11+ episode? If what we saw last week is any indication.... I better hurry up, you'll hear from me later!
Hopefully ultra shows after blazar and arc are like them. Finally ultras are going back to its roots, former glory and high quality performance instead of cheap flash and gimmicks like what we've seen in the past decade

13:50, I'm willing to bet she's one of those people who had a hand in killing Yuma's folks.
15:50, if it was the other way around, I'd be pissed at Arc understandably if my folks were obliterated. Y'know..for drama. But yeah, I can see why.
I'm still wondering if there ever was a plot point where the user was pissed at the Ultra for very dubious reasons and this would lead to the 2 coming to terms with the past and looking towards the future.
17:38, also Yuma...she's one of those who killed your parents. Get revenge for what happened to them.
18:42, wow this looks like it came from Shin Ultraman.
21:44, the bastard's LAUGHING!! THE NERVE!
23:15, a new song? And it's more clashing with the tone of the episode. XD I love it.
23:50, still sounds like it came from Cutie Honey or Sailor Moon.
24:15, La la la but we're still screwed! xD
Ahhh, the next episode's gonna be something.
Cepatlah tak sabar ni
Oh boy, it’s the end times, isn’t it?
I can't believe that was Sam Slade (aka Anby from Zenless Zone Zero and Topaz from Honkai Star Rail) as Sweed! that was some amazing Performance!!
I knew that Yuma didn't make Ultraman Arc (Rution) up. Those drawings must be manifestations of defensive battle gear influenced by Rution. The origin story definitely brings back the original concept about Ultraman that I like so much a lot better than Gaia, Trigger, and Decker. It's been a while since I've seen an Ultra have dire moment to talk with his host just like in the old Ultra series.
Guys let me lend him my power Omni cube the power of omnimon this allows him to wear my cape and my arms it allows him to use my Trinidadian sword in my supreme Canon
Hey, last time after the past and present the second opening part of Ultraman series thinking its volume two and Blazar after 13 it’s volume two still an original opening expect for the second part. Edit: For me it is
i really want the last episodes to be taken place in arc's galaxy. Like trying to stop their sun from destroying them
Would be an interesting ending to arc
Tolong siap cepatlah mula kuasa hebat
Hopefully ultra shows after blazar and arc are like them. Finally ultras are going back to its roots, former glory and high quality performance instead of cheap flash and gimmicks like what we've seen in the past decade
Yes, the another newest Kaiju and ARC's own original Ultra Kaiju, Zadime 🤩! Like Shagong, Alien Croco and Givas from previous episode, Zadime will reappear in next episode on next Saturday and on that day we will be see the ARC's newest Armor! Since Ultraman Blazar series from 2023, Tsuburaya Production do keep forward like i expected, Ultraman ARC series for 2024. No more rehash Ultra Warrior, must keep forward ✊! That's the new directions should be for my personal opinion for Ultraman franchise. I so enjoy watch Ultraman Blazar series and Ultraman ARC series so much because featured newest Ultra Kaiju and obscure Ultra Kaiju 😊.

It ain’t gonna happen. His anniversary already passed. Either way it wouldn’t live up to the original in the same way Trigger and Decker didn’t.
@@mangledued Agreed, I enjoyed Trigger and Decker but we don't need anymore New Generation versions of Heisei heroes. It's better if we get brand new Ultras like Regulos, Blazar, and Arc.
Ultraman arc 2024
