"Despani" (Georgian for "Envoy") was a rock band from Rustavi, active in the second part of 90s, playing melodic music that really deserved to be on top of the national charts. Impressively sung by Malkhaz Khonelidze, the songs from their only cassette release range from rhythmic melancholic rock to idyllic, slightly jazz-influenced lighter folk-rock. This album "Mogoneba Qarshi", was released in 1999 and contains recodings from '96 and '98.
