I like how they were able to sort of each have their own skills and hobbies they could introduce one another to. He liked flying and she liked sailing. Neither was an expert at the other, but they enjoyed their times together as the learning commenced. I liked the Penny Benjamin character.

@@lindarodriguez8225 of course there was a sex scene butt very tastefully done. They were after all former lovers probably since she was a teenager and apparently her father( an admiral) disapproved. If you listened to the pillow talk, Penny said Amelia wanted more freedom than she was ready for and Maverick said “I wonder where she got that from” then she laughed.

The director (Kosinski) said that there has to be a new song because there is different love interest. Penny Benjamin was actually mentioned in the original Top Gun so she predates Charlie.

@@gloriafalkson2363 Well,That’s his opinion. My opinion is when people think of this song , they don’t think of just Kelly McGillis . It’s also simply the Romance of top gun. In my opinion, that’s not a good excuse . The Lady Gaga song was OK but it doesn’t fit as the main Ballard to the franchise. They should’ve made it just another additional song to the soundtrack. Because there are many fans out there that agree with me that at the end of the day no matter what
Other song you use when it comes to the romance of top gun, they will always think of take my breath away. It has such an impact that you can’t top it.
