very good guide, i watched in hopes to find new information i wasn't aware of, im only like level 45 but i feel like the game has come a very long way since release because, i remember most of the torture and pain i felt running around like a chicken way back then. now everything is much smoother and more chill, i can actually stomach doing quests and not grinding to 65, mining iron, cutting trees and the like because why do what you're going to do in the end anyways, when getting there can be that much more enjoyed (personal preference) but anyways, tangent aside. very good guide, lots of useful information for returned/returning players.
I love ESO. I honestly wouldn't put them in the same category. Outside of the fact that they are both MMOs, they are completely different games with different experiences. As much as AGS is trying to move away from PvP, they cannot help that this game was designed with PvP as a primary component. ESO is mostly PvE.
I played both on PC ESO and New World , ESO combat is really awful tbh but what kept me playing was lore because i liked Skyrim alot. New World has really good crafting system one of the best in MMO's. Overall New World feels alot smoother and visually better.
NOTE to returning PC players that don't have the DLC: 1. You won't have access to Mounts 2. You won't have access to the Flail weapon 3. Your max level will only be lv60 so no new contents for you really.
@@Leach-ez7dq no, Brimstone was 625 GS afaik. So the leveling was 60. The moment thye upped lvl cap to 65 GS went to 700. And all the previous elite zones and content had to be upscaled to the required difficulty levels to stay challenging. Some POIs got removed Elite Zone statuses, and those POIs lost the relevance.
Thanks for doing these. Im still a little apprehensive about getting back into something that I loved for a while, but when I got to the end game, there was just nothing that I could do as a mostly solo player. Still greatly appreciate the info, big thumbs up and slappin the little white tic tac of support for a fellow gamer :)
Thanks! I appreciate that! They have worked really hard (so it seems) to add stuff for solo players. I think the release on console concentrates a lot on that
I logged in the other night, and I'm not sure I can handle what has been done to the graphics. This used to be one of the most beautiful games ever made. Now it's like a realistic looking WoW? I just can't quite get over it.
I played on release, lasted about 300 hours. Tried the beta, really enjoyed it. Love all the changes so I will be picking up the xpac for the mounts and flail, and playing on the 15th.
I no life-ed this game for 3-4 months (350 hours in that time) but quit due to the bugs (hatchet bug, great axe bug, market issues, etc), the watermark gear system (the worst thing ever for anyone other than full time gamers), and just not wanting to play for 5-6 hours a day. Since then I've had a kid which makes it basically impossible to play more than a few hours at a time. Seems like they made enough changes to make it way better for the people who want to play for a few hours a day. Excited for a fresh start!
Absolutely! You can jump in right now and be at max gear score in no time. It may take a while to get best in slot items but at least you can be competitive and still have fun. I've had a blast lately with all the changes.
I think it will be really easy to get over 100 hours worth of gameplay out of New World even in its current state. As far as money is concerned, I think that's worth $60. Of course, there is definitely a chance AGS will ruin the game again but I think people will get their money worth from this update for sure. We will see what kind of population the game has in a few months though.
@@BraidedZero flawed system from the core idea. It should have worked as Item Sink but ended up just another chore that players have to worry about.. The gold sink was negligible with gold supply anyway.
@@BraidedZero I mean that every crafting material is dependent on a huge amount of lower tiered mats. IMHO it becomes a grind fest. I think the recipes or requirements are a little steep. Heatrune shouldnt exist. 60% of players dont have Heartrune, You can check Achievements. I also aksed common people that i met if they have heartrune they said they havent unlocked. Another thing about heatrunes. They suck, their VFX just ruin the experience. Some heatrunes are not even making sense, like flame thrower or detonation.
In this comment we discuss the things that weren't changed, like the war system, gold distribution and nonexistent end game. Along with the current microtransactions, coupled with the latency and desync. The fact there's still only 1 OPR, things just don't change, like the entire Dev team or AGS being the owners and operator. You're stuck with the same game, different. Get in line console kids and have your milk money extorted with lies and delays.
I think it's fair to hold them accountable for what they haven't changed. For sure. But if we are going to criticize let's do it constructively. How would you change each of those systems? The war system was changed. Regions are forced to have races which makes companies have to defend their area routinely instead them being able to just hold a region indefinitely. This has made it to where the whole map is less likely to be owned by one faction. Also, wars have their own instance now instead of sectioning off part of the map. How else would you like it to change? Endgame has changed a lot. A lot of content has been added, regions have been increased to higher levels to allow more farming regions, new PvP mode, expedition mutations, and they removed the watermark/expertise system. There is a new region. And in the Aeternum release we will have a dedicated PvP zone, new raid, and solo trials will be repeatable. The story has been reworked and now we have cinematics. I agree it needs a lot of work but it at least seems like they're trying to make changes.
Great video! Can't wait for the Aeternum release!
Thanks! I cannot wait either
Ive waited for a information video like this, wonderful work thank you very much
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks! I agree they definitely streamlined the game to be more enjoyable and less grindy
one more thing , drops now mostly are the same weapons as the ones you currently have equiped. Awesome video. :)
Good point! I definitely should have mentioned the loot bias system. I think I've mentioned it so much in my other videos I forgot to say it here lol
I just pre-ordered for ps5 it looks better and more fun than Eso
Recently began to play New World and its a blast to me. So much fun! I also played ESO days ago and yea, i like New World more :) give it a try :3

Don't tell me the trials or raids are going to be 3-6 hours long and then you might not even get the armor piece or weapon your looking for....
Isn't that part of the endgame for MMOs? Grinding out content to earn that best in slot piece of gear?

I’m so excited about this game and I’ve played eso and this just blows them out of the water in graphics and lush environments
ESO is so good! I don't know if you can compare it to this game. But I'm excited for New World as well!
Great video!
Thanks!
Thanks ❤
You are welcome!!
Great update, thanks

Really? That's interesting. I think it's fine but maybe they've changed it slowly over the years
Game has always looked like ass

Nice! I finally bit the bullet and bought the expansion last week. It's not bad
The Video is uploaded 3 weeks ago but the news he gave from almost a year ago xD
lol well a lot of the changes they made were with Brimstone Sands and Elysian Wilds, so yes about a year ago
720p in 2024 is insane
lol

Is bis still crafting or is it dungeons now too
You can get mounts at level 20.
It was in the beta and I hope they keep it that way for sure.
Will you need to create a new character to play with the console players or will the console players be able to join the old servers?
Console players can select to join existing (legacy) servers. But also, PC players can start fresh characters on servers with console players
It is definitely worth 60 dollars for 2 months of fun. Unfortunately i do not the devs can be trusted to support this game and add end game

I agree. It was a needless system that just became tedious
You always ran faster on the roads btw
Not in initial release. They added it around Brimstone Sands.
so what’s the point of azoth now? it sounds pointless
Good question. It has two primary uses (which haven't changed). To travel and to guarantee better perks when crafting.
correct. its useless. Because initialy the idea was very well thought out and now its skimped and most of the system that consumed Azoth is removed.
@@DMM_Fan crafting is probably its biggest use now
I hope they fixed all the mat stacking.. This is worst part of the game.

Could you do a weapon skill showcase ?
With how many build guides are out there I wasn't going to, but maybe I should with how many people have asked.
It never had party finder before....wat 😶
It's a great addition. I've used it a few times
