Its an older band, same singer. Bacily youre saying his older voice wasnt as great. Personaly i think its amazing seeing how far he has came from a locla band to a contract band.
stage set curtain song queued expectation spotlight act one applause/bow repeat steps can't you see right now my hands are bleeding blisters broken dripping from the ceiling I don't want to be here now I've fallen apart and I can't pick up the pieces I cry in the dark and cup my ears to seashells to hear the solitude it brings so many faces - so many voices - so many reasons to give this up and this goes on and on can't you hear right now my ears are ringing? my head held in my hands to stop the spinning it stops only to start again my home has long since been replaced with a world behind this window pane have I finally gone too far to come home? this world might wait for me tonight, but she won't now only time will tell if these wax-wings will melt only moments to spare we fall asleep with the color of the sunrise we count the years on circles under our eyes we dream in shades of blue and gray we speak in tongues of metaphors and stories we bleed the ink of subtle allegory we are the needle in the hay
I think this was around "The Unraveling" and "Revolutions per Minute" time- he was in both bands at the same time. The difference is the style of music. Both are awesome.
Tim never used one of those screaming methods that is easy on the throat. Even his way of singing with that gravelly voice wasn't good for him. It's obvious how much of a toll it took on his voice over the years. Nowadays he has to sing differently or he'll just cause even more damage to his chords.
Tim should take a good look at what he did in The Killing Tree, and fuse styles with actual Rise Against. It would very much result in early Rise Against which is actually Punk Hardcore.
Well I have joined with a few views myself now ;) Quite some time since I listened to it last, the only video I could find was removed some time ago and so I just forgot about it :(
i dont think they can release anymore stuff even if they wanted to. if you watch old videos of tim playing these songs live, and new RA stuff, hes gotten too old to sing this kind of stuff, hes out of breath more, and cant scream as loud. thats probly one of the reasons RA's style changed
@MrEdgekid i like the mendtioned bands. and Religious elements in a song don't bother me. Listen to the early underoath stuff, with Dallas Taylor as frontman, thats great black metal.
@Endwarrior95: What? New Rise Against has almost nothing (except the same singer) on The Killing Tree at all.....In other words, not just as good but way, way fucking better! Either way it's hardcore/punk at it's best with both bands.
@monkeyxpwner tis ok, just giving your opinion. to be honest i didn't like tkt straight away. but give it time and listen to the other songs and you might get into it
Tim Mcilrath (Singer of Rise Against, and The Killing Tree) did a cover of this song 5 days ago. /watch?v=ERAFPwx7v5g I am NOT trying to get views, I just think this is fucking kick ass :)
drumset doesnt say anything about the skill, brandon is a really good punk drummer, not the best in the world but when you look in the punk branche then you wont find many like him ;)
thats because rise against does not use double bass drumsets and probably never will unless they get rid of there current drummer who if some of you have not noticed is not the best drummer in the world, have you looked at his drumset its so basic, hell i have a biger drumset than he does.
so much better than anything rise against ever did, fight me. also can you fix the mediafire link? you clearly have one of the few completely complete versions of this available, didn't even know this song had a helen trent diary intro
As unlikely as it is, I hope we get this album on Spotify one day.
Find it on vinyl. Sound great. There's a limited 500 only re issue that's out. Green vinyl. Managed to find myself a copy
Its on Spotify
Aaron Gomez Not this album?
Please
Found the CD at a thrift store a couple of days ago!
Holy shit.. Just thought of this band by chance.. and they're still as amazing as ever. Any listeners in 2020?
Of course man, they're the best.
Yes! I need to find a good place to pull this album
Still listening in 2022 almost daily!
Wen i first found out about this band i stayed up all night listening and researching shit
Exactly what I'm doing right now at 5am 😂
@@elizabethsanders3326 been in love with this for over 8 years now, welcome to the family
@@sgksgk0285 Thanks. I discovered them via Rise Against.
I love The Killing Tree. It's a shame they aren't releasing any more albums.
Tim McIlrath is an amazing singer, and a very talented musician.
Its an older band, same singer. Bacily youre saying his older voice wasnt as great. Personaly i think its amazing seeing how far he has came from a locla band to a contract band.
RAW
his rhythm guitar skills are amazing. almost as amazing as his voice! :D
Thanks for the download :D
Amazing band ♥
Tim McIlrath is extremely talented.
He always sings about the truth ♥

can't you see right now my hands are bleeding
blisters broken dripping from the ceiling
I don't want to be here now
I've fallen apart and I can't pick up the pieces
I cry in the dark and cup my ears to seashells
to hear the solitude it brings
so many faces - so many voices - so many reasons
to give this up and this goes on and on
can't you hear right now my ears are ringing?
my head held in my hands to stop the spinning
it stops only to start again
my home has long since been replaced
with a world behind this window pane
have I finally gone too far to come home?
this world might wait for me tonight, but she won't

Mb that's me listening to it like 3x a day lmao
Dang. As much as I love Rise Against, I think Tim should've stayed with this project. This stuff is soo sick!
On and on and on and on and on and on
I love this band
3:14 - 3:55 is the most beautiful and amazing thing ever written
I have some fighting words for those people who disliked this..
Yeah I definitely like them. Thank you for recommending them.
Now THIS is Tim, singing his own thoughts and veiws
tim is a god
I think this was around "The Unraveling" and "Revolutions per Minute" time- he was in both bands at the same time. The difference is the style of music. Both are awesome.
thank you so much, you cant get this album in my country
beautiful music.
@Mike007RA Definitely on par, and better than many, yes, so true. Glad we did not end up having an annoying argument. Great talk my friend. :)
This guy wrote make it stop? Am I being punk'd? This is fucking awesome!
We don't talk about endgame.
Kuroko Shirai
Hey endgame was great. This is far better than endgame but still.
championchristmas1 yeah...sure
David A endgame disapointed me so hard...
Max Ries
Different people have different tastes. I can see how endgame would be a disappointment to some people.

inamoratasamazing but you can’t deny it carries a shit ton more weight, like just the sound is different
Yeah it's called "being way too fucking tense"
wish rise against use songs from tkt in live shows
The Killing Tree. They kick so much ass.
Coolooolest story evah bro!
This song is my favorite of TKT
my fav tkt song :D
Just as good as Rise Against is in 2011! BEAST!
NO! Rise Against will NEVER be as good...
Tim should take a good look at what he did in The Killing Tree, and fuse styles with actual Rise Against. It would very much result in early Rise Against which is actually Punk Hardcore.
Agreed. His more rare style of screaming seems to be particularly hard on the cords.
Well I have joined with a few views myself now ;) Quite some time since I listened to it last, the only video I could find was removed some time ago and so I just forgot about it :(
@RomanceOfHelenTrent I just noticed that your name is one of their album :)
@mustaphamirim: yeah. Older Rise to me is just a softer translation of TKT.
@alanihawaii123 I see your point, lets enjoy the music my friend XD
already sounds like rise against
you might like a band called gallows there a little different but there still good.
@Endwarrior95: Haha. Couldn't agree with you more. =P
@Mike007RA understandable friend XD
works
@AvarageRAfan There really is.
@RomanceOfHelenTrent I miss the old Rise Against, but the new stuff isn't half bad either.
Yeah that's what I mean.
Its an acoustic "cover" he just got his words mixed up.
i dont think they can release anymore stuff even if they wanted to. if you watch old videos of tim playing these songs live, and new RA stuff, hes gotten too old to sing this kind of stuff, hes out of breath more, and cant scream as loud. thats probly one of the reasons RA's style changed
@MrEdgekid i like the mendtioned bands. and Religious elements in a song don't bother me. Listen to the early underoath stuff, with Dallas Taylor as frontman, thats great black metal.
yes, I impulsively said cover.
@Endwarrior95: What? New Rise Against has almost nothing (except the same singer) on The Killing Tree at all.....In other words, not just as good but way, way fucking better! Either way it's hardcore/punk at it's best with both bands.
UA-cam mp3 downloaders are aweful lol. Just use x-musics (dotcom). It has all the TKT at cd quality
@00Powell ok
can someone tell me what the radio soap"the romance of helen trent" was about? i cant find a short summary and i really want to know it :)
2019....?
Hello!
Yo
So does any one know of any other bands like TKT other then Rise Against.
no prob dude lol
@alexrclausen i put a mediafire link on my page and video description
@monkeyxpwner listen to Dressed To Fuck By TKT its really good
@alexrclausen works when i click it
@AvarageRAfan 849 now!
@iAv3s agreed. I wish his music went back to punk and Post-Hardcore. i personally aint to fond of the newer shit
@alexrclausen you need winRAR
you know you can download with youtube right?
@monkeyxpwner Do you like it, i really do
Really I don't find them to be like the killing tree.
@monkeyxpwner tis ok, just giving your opinion. to be honest i didn't like tkt straight away. but give it time and listen to the other songs and you might get into it
@AvarageRAfan And worst, most of these views came from me!
@monkeyxpwner what's wrong with this song?
This band is great, but personally, I hear more melody in Rise Against songs.
@Mike007RA hahahaa, really? XD
baxter
Tim Mcilrath (Singer of Rise Against, and The Killing Tree) did a cover of this song 5 days ago. /watch?v=ERAFPwx7v5g I am NOT trying to get views, I just think this is fucking kick ass :)
Here from the 8bitdrummer.
I worded it wrong, everyone makes mistakes x)
drumset doesnt say anything about the skill, brandon is a really good punk drummer, not the best in the world but when you look in the punk branche then you wont find many like him ;)
But the youtube downloader is garbage sound quality.
@alexrclausen message me if you want it.
You people need to learn how to use the computers in front of you! If you dont know to use winrar your missing out on alot things.
@MrEdgekid Singing about Jesus doesn't make them hardrock.
@RomanceOfHelenTrent idk i just don't like it...my sister brought me here and made me listen...sorry to troll
@RomanceOfHelenTrent Wtf, Underoath is SO far from being black metal.
You can't do a cover of a song you wrote *facepalms*
sorry rise against is better!
thats because rise against does not use double bass drumsets and probably never will unless they get rid of there current drummer who if some of you have not noticed is not the best drummer in the world, have you looked at his drumset its so basic, hell i have a biger drumset than he does.
so much better than anything rise against ever did, fight me. also can you fix the mediafire link? you clearly have one of the few completely complete versions of this available, didn't even know this song had a helen trent diary intro
BlueMistBand *_Why do you need to compare? Rise Against is great too, and I don't care if this is better or not._*
because there is a comment section and tim was in this band, along with the original rise against guitarist.
BlueMistBand *_So? Tim is with Rise Against now, and I love them!_*
Nico Style opinions happen man. plus, rise against have been going downhill steadily since sufferer, with a share of exceptions.
BlueMistBand *_I don't think so, they still being great._*
I'm saying the music isn't as good.
this is terrible...-_-
