Good video. I just finished getting rid of the large Desert Yucca trees that was starting to take over my front yard. I couldn't pull them out by the roots because they were to deep in the rock hard soil. I cut them off off below the surface and killed them then covered them up. Talk about a nightmare tree to have to deal with. You did a great job on the stumps.
    Thanks for sharing.

They extract stumps with a small CAT back-hoe whachamacallit, I don't know the name. I live in Europe and they dig around the stump until the roots are exposed and then pull it out of the ground and leave the hole and the stump by the side of it for two weeks. This lets all the bugs and insects and worms come out of their hide-a-ways and then they take the stump away. They cover the ground with the earth they took out of the hole and leave it rough like that for two weeks so that it naturally finds its level. Then they smooth it off and plant new grass. When they cut high weeds, they do the same thing. They cut the weeds and leave them for a week to ten days so all the insects can come off their lairs and leaves and stuff. Then they pick up the weeds. I don't know how it is where you are, but they're doing that because there are less and less insects and spiders every year. You walk out in the fields in summer and there are very, very few flying insects. Next door in Germany they are down 75% insects in the last 20 years. Boys and girls, there's something wrong about this.

Hell yea, got it done without having to rent any equipment. Next time you stain your deck use some used motor oil, I just did mine with it, turned out nice, a day or two after the sun beats down on it the smell is completely gone & the sun really bakes it down deep into the wood so there’s no residue left on the surface.

I did try using my 3 ton floor jack and I only managed to budge it a little. I think the jack might have needed to be purged of air and/or I didn't cut enough roots.
I've been busy doing other gardening tasks and the stump is still where I left it. I think it should be dead/brittle enough to get out with my pinch point bar and chainsaw.
If I regularly had to remove stumps I would consider buying the bumper jacks, but I've only ever had to remove two stumps (including the one still in the ground).
Thanks for making the video and the tip.

    Repent to Jesus Christ!
    Are you a sinner?
Saint Luke 5:32 KJV I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Saint Luke 13:3 KJV I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
