In a much more recent interview Ogre went into detail about that and it's a very different story than what he's saying here... but I understand why he had to spin it the way he did at the time of this interview.
All great artists from the 90s were, actually, they were more original and experimental because of the drugs, and if you don’t think so and hate on it, well, not saying you’re in the wrong because addiction takes a hard hit on your mind and soul and it’s a better life choice to not do them, that being said, the creative process when influenced by being high on substances really makes bare more of your soul and takes anxieties away or overthinking on certain aspects, and causes more of an exploration on sounds, melodies, lyrics, and over all path that might connect to a good majority of people out there that have many different things that shape their life or lifestyle, such as partying, experimentation, sex, designing, group activities, maybe some things more sinister (not my lifestyle personally) or some more on a spiritual/religious journey. Overall, drug use can lead to great creativity and fun times, IF you can keep grasp on life and importantly, health and not over abuse to where nothing else but the drugs matter, then that’s a very dark place that usually only ends in one way. A legend of a man with a brilliant mind named Dr. Hunter S Thompson can relay this, many directors have said actors, such as Robert downy jr, was more of an artist while on drugs, and don’t even have to mention legends in music, from this time period as well to, as Kurt cobain, Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell, Scott weiland, Trent reznor, Peter Steele, and many, many more musicians. Am I advocating to “Do drugs”? No, just explaining for some people, that already are great artists, expands the boundaries of creativity and innovation, along with originality and depth, they help and influence in that matter

LOL NIN sounds almost nothing like SP. Never really understood some people's obsession with this whole claim. Nine Inch Nails is Rock with an industrial element. Funny because it's blatantly obvious that Skinny Puppy tried to copy NIN on the Process.

I love last rights, initially I got into it mostly through love in vein but of course killing game and inquisition are amazing. But anymore, that rest of the album is what I'm coming back for. Beautiful album, but certainly not all songs are for everyone. But that's why it's beautiful.
Well, that certainly is your opinion, which you have a right to, but I don’t know if anyone can call themselves a skinny puppy fan and not love the classic albums “The Greater Wrong Of The Right” and “Weapon”

Could you tell me the inner meaning of it? Im hungry for knowladge.
@@ErenCenobite The quoted lyric is from the SP song “CULT”. Ogre is a member of the Society of American Magicians, as am I.

His Canadian accent seems stronger in this than in some more recent interviews!
He's lived in the US most his life that's why!

Just wish I could have seen this as a lad, what a guy!

Last Rights has some great songs but half of it is hard to even listen to. its definitely their most bleak album.
