It’s coming! Probably going rank as my most frustrating trailer project for the time in to the end result….it’s a bit of a Rube Goldberg kinda contraption😂
@homesteadonomics My daughter is going to be 34. I have the cutest granddaughter at 3 years old. I wish she would have me a grandson. But it's not going to happen, unfortunately. Have a great evening!!
Thank you! But I’ve not really gone anywhere….just trying to juggle the day job and other obligations. There is plenty more content coming shortly. I’m checking off a lot of these off-camera obligations so I should be getting back to a more consistent 2-4 vids a month soon😉👍
Good seeing you guys! Looks like everyone is doing well. Love the new addition (Wyldfire). He's a big boy. Mini Nubian... now I have to see what a full sized one looks like. Thanks Joe! ❤️🌵☀️⛈️🌈☮️🐎🐐
Yes, he was a bit bigger than expected. But he definitely smaller than the full size Nubians. Marleys horse riding lessons has some full grown Nubians and they seem giant….as in a 5 year old could ride them with a saddle rather easily. And those are just the girls. I’m sure the nubian bucks are monsters😂
I always enjoy your videos and usually learn something new with each one. I happened to look up the definition of wholesome recently, and a link to your channel was all the definition provided or needed. Congratulations to you and your bride for doing such a good job raising your daughter and teaching her and showing your viewers the value of being responsible, respectful, resourceful folks. Thank you for what you add to the UA-cam community. Mike
Well that comment brought a smile to my face Mike….so thank you! We are trying our best to raise her up the best we can to prepare her for this crazy world we live in. 😊🙏
Wyldfire's a handsome fella! Love that he's bonding with the gals so quickly. Olive put some speed on to get her ball - daaaaang! Love the updated logo, btw. Hope your cisterns are tip top full - ours went to overflow so we followed in your footsteps and invested in some of the IBC's too. Yahoo! Gonna be much needed come drier days. Thanks for all the great info and insights, and kudos to Marley for another great goat presentation.
Thank you Melonie! I will let Marley know! And yes, its been a great year for rains. So glad your getting yours filled up too! And yes, as far as big smelly buck goats go….he sure has that burly brawny handsome look going strong!!!
Wow, Marley got so big, she’s a natural in front of the camera. I was wearing one of your t-shirts in Boerne, TX while visiting our son out in San Antonio last week and a woman stopped me to say that she is also a subscriber but never knew that shirts were made. We spoke about how we are inspired by your channel. Great video and thank you for sharing.
Wow! That’s is awesome to hear! Yeah I don’t really advertise them much….just have that link below the description. But glad to hear you guys had a good chat! And thats beautiful area too….love that TX hill country! Always loved those cream granite stone houses that you see there!
Great video. Wildfire looks like he hit the jackpot with his new home. Your daughter is very impressive with her goat handling skills. I also look forward to more moon-spotted babies in the future. I love the growl that Olive puts out when she runs over the ball. Thanks for sharing and great to see the whole family in the video!
Thank you Henry! And I remember chatting with you in the comments back then and I’m grateful for that too!🙏😊 As for 550k….it might take longer than expected as my channel slowed way down when I started syncing my videos to rumble and odysee. But I value the backup and being able to have them on those platforms as well. Not to mention, my lag in the videos the last 5 months of so has tanked my views and recommends, etc,. BUT that is okay with me, as I’ve always taken this thing as a way to share ideas and adventures and to interact with the core folks that resonate with my interests. And you are one of them and that’s most important to me!😊👍
What a great video! Wyldfire surprised me with his calmness on the walks! He sure seems to be "super sweet"! Marley definitely has a "handle" on her animal family! Love it! :)
Another good one, thanks. As much as I like following the progress on the trailer, and the various water harvesting etc. videos, it's also great to the goats. I saw a "horse" comment below, with your "close" reply, and you really have me wondering. Before seeing that, I was thinking "cow". But with all the goat milk, a cow would be redundant. Or not, what do I know. We talked about when we settle down again (we're full-time RV living now), getting some land, but we'd avoid raising animals aside from bees, and maybe rabbits. We'd try to find neighbors who deal with the bigger ones. My wife grew up milking cows, doesn't really want that lifestyle, but we're glad others do it.
Ah yes….it’s definitely in the talks. Kind of a whirlwind of things moving as 3 months ago I wouldn’t have even considered it. But I took Marley to a BLM wild horse and burro auction a while back and ended up meeting a very interesting lady who works with some youth programs out on by the Mustang heritage foundation. As for you RV living and land search… where you looking at? We’ve actually been perusing land as well…. Not a definite thing, but some things have come up as of late that have us considering options.
@@homesteadonomics Part of the RV life for us is checking out different areas, deciding where might work for us. Before this, we had some ideas, but not very definite. One is the area of northeast AL, northwest GA, east TN. That area has a wide range of things that can be grown, reasonable land prices (as much as anywhere can be), and a comfortable climate. Another area for us was north AR, south MO, in the Ozarks. Yes, we like mountains! We're (legally) Floridians now, but that gets warm in the summer. Currently we're in southern AL, the Gulf Shores area, but that also gets warm in summer. One of the campgrounds we've stayed in a couple times now, for a month or two at a time, is in northern AL, near Guntersville. We love that area. But who knows, we could end up deciding on a surprise area. Maybe OK isn't as desolate and unpleasant as it's always seemed!
@@BruceS42 so if we didnt have my wife’s family roots so deeply entrenched down here, I’d definitely be considering all those options. Love the ozarks of AR and MO. And AR always ranks high on freedom and cost of living rankings too. And I like the fact that you’ve been kinda testing places too. To see if you really like it. We’ve got family in OK and I was the same as you several years ago… about the desolate plains, and tornados, etc,…. But after the last 3 years I will only consider living in states that respect freedom. And OK jumped up a few notches on that these last few years. I’m still happy, for the most part, with AZ. I definitely think it’s on the better side of most things. But we’ve also got our detractions as well, one of which I’m afraid is starting to spread its wings😬
@@homesteadonomics Liberty is important to us, too, but we've noticed that states can change quickly, get "Californicated" with people fleeing the mess they made in one place, only to vote for the same things in the new place. That's another reason to get some acreage, not too close to any big cities. Even in states where Big Brother has a heavy hand, they mostly focus on the more densely populated areas. In that respect, you really seem to be well set up there.
I noticed a new logo in the beginning of your video! Wonder if that is what you are mentioning at the end of your video😉 Can’t wait! Wyldfire is a gorgeous buck and definitely seems to be a gentle one. Cool to see Marley still training and very interested in the goats. At least until you get those horses! 🤫Get some packs for the goats and you can take them on longer hikes! Who knows! Maybe an Alpaca kennel will be next!🤣
Yeah the logo is a bit of my subtle advice for folks after the last 3 years of insanity. To turn off the propaganda and take a bit more control of their lives. Bin the nicest way of course😂 As for the horses….well, it’s definitely been a conversation recently…. As well as burros. Look up the blm wild horse and burro program for the adoption of wild mustangs and burros….pretty cool potential opportunity😉
Much better behaved than most goats. We have 3 here at the farm. Mostly friendly, unless they're hungry! Looking forward to the next RV video. I've enjoyed that from the frame up. Hope all is well, Joe.
Yes, so far we’ve been pretty lucky with these goats! But I’ve heard of and seen some that seem to be made for funny stories. Head bucks, etc,. And yes, this travel trailer project has been the longest running series. Tons of fun but also incredible that I’ve stretched this project out over so many years😂🤦♂️
Hello and thank you for sharing and showing us the New Buck. Marley is really rockin it with the way she handles, plus training the goats, awesome young lady. I love that you take the goats for a walk 😄. Enjoyed the video, and watching Olive at the end.
I’m glad you liked it! He really is quite a cool buck….and surprisingly sweet too! Marley is definitely in her element working with these goats….and stay tuned….. something much bigger may be taking place animal wise😉
Hey Joe, your really coming along with the farm! And Marley is doing a superb job at keeping all the goats under control, trained and she sure knows a lot about them for sure. Man they can really get a move on running down the trail.. haha. I think that's just great what you've done! Thanks for sharing the outstanding videos! Captain Ron, Arizona 🌵🌅
Why thank you Lee! We try to give them the best we can but I’m afraid that the next animal isn’t going to be able to get one of these very robust ‘movie theater’ steel shelters that the goats have😂

We've been missing you and all the projects! 🙂 Thank you for always making good honest content! Mark (& Teresa) Hampstead Maryland P.S Teresa's rooting for a horse. Since we have 5 of them 🤣.

(In hand) taking an untouched wild mustang to trained mustang for in hand show in about 150 days. I’ve got a LOT to do building wise😳🤪
We breed mini-nubians, in central AZ, and all our does just birthed. It's tons of fun, especially for the kids. Just wait till that buck goes into rut! They smell interesting. We sell the doelings and eat the bucklings. Our bucks are sweet boys too.
Friendly Warning: We had togenburg goats on our farm and a neighbour gave us a buck that he had. The buck was really friendly and a beautiful copper color. Unfortunately, unaware, the buck secretes scent from a couple of areas of the body, especially during heat cycle of the female goats. The scent we experienced was as strong and potent as skunk. My brother was visiting us one time and we were away to town. He was petting the goat and the goat who was very friendly, was rubbing up against his body. When we got home, we had to pass out clothes to my brother to change in the barn as it was sooo strong! Needless to say, we had to give our goat away. The barn still had his smell, 8 years later! Perhaps it was the breed of the goat. Just want you to be aware. Perhaps a vet could ensure your beautiful fella won't do the same. All the best!
Well I will take the advice and proceed with caution…oh boy that sounds crazy! We have smelled his ‘musk’ when our momma goat went into heat a couple weeks ago. But as soon as she was out of it he seemed to tame down a bit as well. It seems to have dissipated pretty much completely. One thing we did do was to have his pen on the leeward side of the girls so the wind almost always blows towards him and away from everything else. But who knows…maybe we will do one breeding and then start renting him out as a ‘service’ guy to others wanting him to breed. There’s a Nigerian dwarf buck up here that has made the rounds living a couple months here and a couple there to each family that wants his services… and he seems to be happy at each new place😂
@@homesteadonomics The scent is real and just as pungent as was mentioned. If you get too much on you think of remedies to remove skunk juice. When I was a kid I had a pair of goat clothes that were never allowed in the house and we're hand washed in a galvanized tub outside. Of course your buck will probably smell like a daisy and be a calm companion for your little miss.
Welcome back sir; great seeing you and Marley. She is getting so grown up. When you finish the trailer modifications will you be starting on a barn or stable for the horse(s) your wife has been wanting? Wishing you and your family a blessed spring season filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace brother
Well let’s just say that has been a VERY constant topic of discussion recently😉 Just trying to make it make sense finically before pulling the trigger for sure.
I have heard it is a good idea to keep Wildfires beard trimmed or it gets kind of smelly when he urinates. But his coloring is great, keep you guessing what color the babies will be
He's a mini? I have never seen a goat any larger than that, the dwarf or mini Nubian goats I've seen were tiny, the people at Living Traditions Homestead channel had some dwarf Nubians I think for milk and I think the people at Root's and Refuge also had some dwarf Nubians for milk. If you guys are happy with him I'm glad you were able to get him.
Yes he is….or atleast that’s what we bought. Maybe we got swindled😂….jk. The folks we got him from have all the lineage and pics and papers of all of his parents and grand parents so you could see the originally f1 generations to what he is. And on a side note, Marley’s riding lessons place has full size nubian girls and they are quite a bit bigger than wildfire is….like shockingly bigger. Of course maybe those are the nephilim versions of Nubians 😂
@@homesteadonomics Google says the minis are not as small as the dwarfs, ua-cam.com/video/GNzUuoa4oiE/v-deo.html here is one of the videos I saw of the dwarfs and part of them are just kids so that might be why I remembered them being so small. I wasn't trying to ruin your day, you did a nice job on the pen for him, I'm glad you guys like him. thanks
Thank you…..I always get my names blended between bulls/bucks/rams with my deer/cow/elk species. I don’t suspect I’ll call him a bull, but it could happen😂
Oh yes, it’s gonna be a bit of five and take to see what works best. But so long as the girls aren’t in heat he’s pretty bearable. But for the week that they are or so…it is strong!
So when is the BBQ going to happen? I like a good goat stew. I had goat for the 1st time last year. I wasn't forsure if I would like it. Husband cooked it & we liked it. I would like to put 2 cows on my 2 acres. Keep one & sale the other so it will pay for the butchering of our cow. Then we have meat all year long since the prices are getting so high in the store. $9.00 to $20.00 a lb & it's not even a whole lb of flat chewy steak & hurts my teeth to chew it. I'd rather do my own butchering & that away I know it didn't just ride the butcher rail lines in a factory. It will be treated like a king/Queen & I'll know where it's been & taken care of. Have fun with your heard & your daughter is doing a fine job caring for them. Chris from Missouri
Just amazing how your girl has grown! I subscribed to your channel when you did the rain water collection system...that's why a few years back now? Lol, time flies.

Of course your buck will probably smell like a daisy and be a calm companion for your little miss.
Great content as always!

Thank you for checking it out😊🙏
Welcome back sir; great seeing you and Marley.
But his coloring is great, keep you guessing what color the babies will be
I have heard that…. And each time he takes a drink of water it’s always drenched. So it’s make sense when he starts doing his special ‘cologne’😂
I wasn't trying to ruin your day, you did a nice job on the pen for him, I'm glad you guys like him. thanks
I know it's not quite the same but I had to go listen to the song. 🐎
It’s close enough though😁
cat spotted!
If you look closely I think they make at least 2 if not 3 appearances in the background shots. They are always doing something 😂
What do the goats, and Olive think of each other?
Well…Olive LOVES them. But she is always trying to herd them and they don’t like that too much. So olive has been head butted by Olive a couple times😂
Muhteşem

Thank you!
You'll get your ornery buck come rut 😬 they're an entirely different beast during rut
🇧🇷
This is very nice .. in which state u r bud?
Arizona👍
Something about those goat eyes freaks me out.
Male goats are called rams and they won't breed or attempt to breed the ewes unless the ewes are in heat.
Thank you…..I always get my names blended between bulls/bucks/rams with my deer/cow/elk species. I don’t suspect I’ll call him a bull, but it could happen😂
How do you maintain the droppings and clean that up?
My understanding is male goats create and sustain A strong stinch, clipped males less so. Hope you are taking steps to mitigate.
Oh yes, it’s gonna be a bit of five and take to see what works best. But so long as the girls aren’t in heat he’s pretty bearable. But for the week that they are or so…it is strong!
Are you practicing Genetic Engineering to get “Moon Spots”? 😂😂😮
Well I think it’s closer to old school “match making”😂. Unless we did it the way they do horses… and that does not sound appealing to me at all🤪😂
Love your Chanel for it down Home considerations and FAMILY ADVENTURES.
Is that a Chevy SS?
Nope, just a standard base line Malibu.
Oh no…. She wouldn’t be too happy with that😂
She definitely enjoys caring for them and is just a tad bit attached😉

Just amazing how your girl has grown! I subscribed to your channel when you did the rain water collection system...that's why a few years back now? Lol, time flies.
Oh man….that was a bit ago for sure! And to come full circle I’m going to ah few rainwater videos coming this spring…. As well as some new…bigger animals videos😳😂
Un cut = STINKY!!!!!!!
