Rinpoche is 100% correct! Gelukpa school has a head called Ganden Tripa. Still, like Rinpoche mentioned, powerful families are playing dirty politics and pushing young Tibetan Lamas and making them look more important than the Ganden Tripas, who are mostly ordinary monks and rise from the bottom after spending 50+ years study and practice! Nyingma has its ow traditions and monasteries and it is best for the Nyingma monasteries to operate independently instead of having one Lama lead the entire school! If the lama is good, it's good; but if the Lama is bad, he will destroy the entire Nyingma school! Rinpoche is 100% right!
