One of the benefits of unlimited sodas is they are getting into bigger retailers and into a bigger market to expose more people to Funko Sodas. I still set up at Pop Shows and people don't know about Funko Sodas because they don't find them in enough places. I think it wouldn't mean much if they had 50,000 vs unlimited truly. I will collect the molds I like, just like common pops. I think my lower piece count of older sodas will just keep going up if more people get into collecting them.
I think that if you like a particular character or soda, no-piece count shouldn't necessarily stop you from picking it up. However, you don't necessarily have to pay full price for these unlimited soda either: just wait for their value to drop a couple weeks to a couple months after the initial release, then pick it up for much cheaper on secondary markets like eBay or Mercari. That being said, they might not hold much resale value, but if your interest in the figure outweighs your interest in its potential reselling, waiting it out and buying off secondary markets is a good way to save money. Again, probably not great trade pieces, or high price resell items, but they're not bad looking figures either, so at the day its a matter of personal preference. :)
I do 100% understand the staying away from the no piece and for good reasons but for us if it’s a character we love and the soda looks great we will still get it! I see it as just the same as all the Funko Pops that have no piece count and have a chase, we still enjoy the hunt!! Do wish these retailers would secure the sodas better so they wouldn’t get ripped open but we have found 1 opened soda at Target that actually was the chase ( I know that’s not going to be normal lol)

Exactly. Most of these UA-cam "Funko collectors" only care about value. Dude talks about how he's been wanting them to make certain characters and likes how they turned out, but because they won't be valuable in the future, he can't have them in his COLLECTION.
I 100% agree with you John, we need the piece count. The only way I would ever, ever pick one of these Sodas up is if they put out a character that I absolutely love.
I also think because of the people who abuse the system meaning weighing, opening in store etc will cause stores to stop carrying them bcuz of profit loss & perhaps negative profit meaning they not only don't make $ on them but they lose $. I also think they're overpriced for a skinny little figure that 5 out of 6 cans will ultimately b available cheap after the fact when ppl who bought cases want to sell off commons. Listening to u compliment Namoor figure, while I agree theres some cool detail added, Namoor is a bad ass dude & that soda looks like Namoor's complete opposite/alter ego who is adorable & sweet vs the villain he is. I tend to prefer the critter sodas, toon sodas etc where cute fits the character & to b fair I'm not a ppl pop fan either but I find ppl sodas even more unbeatable 😂. Again solely my opinion & I respect every1's desire to collect them as we all love different things & having variety available to us so theres something for everyone is a beautiful thing. I still watch soda vids of my favorite creators for the sodas I do like & to support my peeps. 😊
100% agree. Doesn’t make sense why there is no piece counts. If they want these sodas to reach a wider audience, simply double the print run and make them 35,000 or even 50,000 when you include the international sodas. At the end of the day, while the production number may not change as a result between having a piece count or not. People want to see that number! That’s part of the reason why the sodas are appealing. Without, it’s just another mini-figure like the hundreds of figures out there of the same character… if it wasn’t Funko, I wouldn’t even look at it!

Unlimited SODAs is one of the stupidest things Funko has done (amongst super scummy things that have apparently been going on behind the scenes). I honestly think that if this keeps up and they spread this numberless factor to more series and franchises in the SODA lineup, it could completely kill SODAs for good. I don't want that to happen, but it's definitely a possibility. I'm gonna be so bummed if they do end up making unlimited Star Wars SODAs and they do R2-D2, if I did pick him up, it certainly wouldn't be for retail and would be for a BIG discount on the secondary market.
I understand your point and respect anyone's decision of their reasons for liking or not liking something. It is sad that some people now days don't understand or respect that people have different points of view on so many things. We do buy them. We are not completionist but I feel like that is how we approach it. We went from buying what we liked to just all around loving the actual Soda product that we buy at least one of everyone that is available to us. Chase or common? we get what we get. We buy more if we want the chase. I have went back to buy cheap commons of Sodas characters we don't really know, like anima just to try to have a more full collection. I see both sides of why to be against it and what I think Funko wants to accomplish with it. I honestly don't think it will work out for Funko like they would hope. I do love the piece count and do not want it to go away. It is hard to explain how I do love the idea of what we have, having money value but I don't ever think of actually selling any of them where it would matter. ( I know things happen in peoples lives where they have to make those decisions though, and it may not be a choice.) I think we collect more for the fun Grayson and I have with it from us doing the channel to talking about things from my childhood and us watching the movies or shows associated with the Sodas. I do realize some of the best parts in doing this is the excitement of hunting for something that is rare or limited though. The most recent example I would have is we were so excited just to be able to get the Snagglepuss Soda. First thing Grayson asks when I pick him up from school. "was you able to get the Snagglepuss Soda?" talking about that soda before we filmed and even after when we pulled the common. Its like your sports team winning or losing. we were experiencing that together as silly as it sounds. That excitement and feeling is not there if it was unlimited, because who cares we will go buy another one. So I get it. Awesome video!
I understand why people might be turned away from them not having a high value. But if it’s a character that you really love or anything like that I think it’s worth getting. I actually just bought the Zombie Hunter Spider-Man and Drax soda at target today, and I got the chase of Drax which I was super pumped about because he is definitely one of my favorite characters in the marvel universe. I also almost never pull chases either so it was a big deal lol. But his common and chase are so different I definitely will be getting both. But about a month ago when my mom & I were looking at sodas for the first time at Walmart, we were wondering why the one employee kept watching us from a distance the whole time, make sense now since people are unfortunately opening them and taking the figures or whatever they do.

If they make a party Thor soda though I’ll definitely get it because Thor was my first favorite avenger & he’s someone I want to collect all of his pops of at some point. But I definitely agree with you though that I don’t think the commons or chases of these sodas will ever have a high value which is definitely a bummer. And I really hope they don’t do this with the Star Wars sodas, because I want to eventually have all the Star Wars sodas in my collection. You do have some very valid points here, that I have delt with myself and become very frustrated about, but I believe true soda collectors would collect what they really love numbered or not, although value is important to me & most collectors having a piece count is great, but simply not having a piece count is not enough for me to stop collecting Sodas that I really like in my collection. They are just like pops now all common releases with chance of chase. Are pops that are chases all numbered? Do you still collect them? See my point? Also, funko is dropping epic sets that do not have a piece count so collector now can get fantastic molds locally without having to order online or having to drive to other cities to obtain them. There are still people out in the world like my father, that don't feel comfortable buying items online or using a debit or credit card to purchase anything at all online. Yes he is much older at 88 but still loves the Sodas I have gifted him. He came across the spiderman zombie hunter while shopping at target and bough a few with cash on the spot & actually got a Perfect Pull. Not everyone is lucky enough to live near a comic or pop shop. You can always order non-numbered Sodas from on of the 3 online retailers you mentioned in your video. Would you turn your back on a Non-Numbered Freddy Funko? Its a business, Funko needs to make $$ to continue right? So they are simply creating interest for kids, teens and adults that may not even know that the last three years they have been creating these Amazing funko Soda figures. another benifit is they now release a enire wave not one here and a year later another one pops up some sets are still half complete like the most popular examples the KISS set & Ghostbusters set a name a few. If they released them now for big box stores we would have the entire wave not a big question mark if they will ever be release??? Think of this would you get rid of every single not numbered funko pop you own? So, what is it then? Are you saying every pop you purchase is numbered? I have been a funko pop collector since 2015 It has a few benefits it gives collectors inexpensive way to grab a needed chase for between $25 - $35. Yes it sucks I agree but its not that really important enough for me. What if Sodas (like pops) would have come out non numbered from day one? Would you have ever started collecting them? funko has the same 1/6 chance of chase 1 per case of 6 as the numbered cases we just don't know how many cases they really make. It kind of has always been that way with State Side & international Sodas How many are they really making of a sertain sodas anyway. My answer is simple, I say collect the sodas you love numbered or not!!!
I totally get your points, but most common numbered sodas aren’t worth anything either. I can’t even sell common numbered sodas for $4 on Mercari most of the time.
I’m sick of seeing the trade posts with these unnumbered soda chases. Because there are so many of them, they are everywhere and easy to obtain, but very difficult to move.
I only have 1 "Unlimited" soda in my collection, Captain Carter. I brought it because of the Union Jack design, I wanted at least 1 piece on my shelf with that design. I was lucky enough to pull the Chase. As far as personal taste, I only like Ltd Ed runs of sodas. I will only buy what I like, but if it doesn't have a limited run count on the can, it does put me off.
I’m not a fan of the no piece count sodas premise. I do agree some of them are beautiful, however for exactly all the reasons you gave is why I’m not running after them. Just one more to add…..if there are piece counts it makes the secondary market thrive ie. Whatnot, Mercari. The excitement of pulling a chase or just getting a soda you have been looking for. Maybe Funko is jealous of all the money made on secondary market😂. Eventually you will find them setting on the shelves of discount retailers. As always great video

In my opinion, I feel like one of the biggest draws to Funko Sodas was the piece count. Take away the piece counts and increase the prices… yeah no thanks.
unlimited regular POPs hold very little value when they are OOB(25-50%). i would assume the sodas will as well. rare/limited Pops that are OOB still hold value (60-80%) so makes sense that the limited sodas will be in the same situation in 2-5 years
I don't like them but we did open up a few just for fun. I am still looking online for older ones missed out on to opening. Most the time we only open 1 of each soda so if we get a chase that's cool.
I did get one of the no-piece to count sodas but I only got it because I wanted the chase, it was Namor ( I'm still surprised when I got it, it was the only unopened soda of Namor) and yeah I do really wish they limited them and that they went to a small retailer where it could of have gotten a big value and meant something to those who try to collect them because of the value and/or the piece count, hope funko gets notice of it soon because they are just losing money with having them in big retailers were they get opened. stolen and returned. The exclusivity of having a limited number to them is part of the reason people collect sodas! I’ll still collect the unlimited count Star Wars Sodas just because they’re Star Wars. 😅
I'll only want to get the what if kahhori no piece count because the person that designed her from the show came to the reservation 5 minutes from me and I'm from a small town in New York so that's huge
I understand alot of people not wanting these because of the principal of it. But as far as value very few of the common piece count ones are worth anything either. And like you said nobody knows the piece count since funko didnt number them so it could be less than some of the ones that actually have piece counts like the 20k and 25k sodas. For me i will just buy the ones i like and see what happens in the future. I just cant justify not buying them only because they dont have piece counts. It would be like saying im not buying any pops that arent limited piece counts because i dont know how many there are, that would include all commons, store exclsuives, and most convention exclusives. I just think numbering something doesnt always equal value, they have made sodas with pretty low piece counts that nobody even know who the charecter is. The soda hype is kinda dying in general, look at how many are availible on the Funko Shop right now, it used to be where there were maybe a handfull available at any given time, now you go on there and sometimes theres close to 100 on there, and yes some are the no piece count but why arent the 10k convention exclsuives selling out like they used to? The price hike? Or maybe because they are just releasing so many people are being more selective and not just jumping on every single soda released like we used to. No piece counts takes away the financial incentive, which is disappointing. Hopefully Funko limit the number of Sodas that they release not numbered, and continue to create and distribute limited Soda's for the serious collectors out there. If the piece counts weren’t real then you would never see sodas being worth anything of substantial value. It’s all about supply and demand with collectibles. Funko does limited runs with most of their sodas and we can attest to them being real with how few of some sodas from 2020 and 2021 there are on the market.
They new spiderverse ones look awesome and have some great detail. It’s a shame we won’t be adding them to our collection. Only way to prove something to Funko is with your wallet.
Pops & sodas are two entirely different collectible. Do you buy a pop not knowing what you’re going to get? Unless it’s a mystery box, you know exactly what you’re getting. Why is it sad to want limited items? Sad would be having the exact same collection as everyone else.

Soda Pop figures have risen to $35 in Oz. I will not be purchasing no count Soda’s when the price is so ridiculously high. They do not represent any value at all. If I want a set I will wait until the buzz has worn off and purchase them on the secondary market.

If they go the star wars route, it will I guess depend on the character that they release for me to consider going after it. Am I a fan of the no piece count no I'm not. Yet if it's a character or line I collect. It's really no different with unlimited Pops and their chase. Would be great if Funko did state the odds of the chase.
Well thats the thing pops are in 1in6. From experience I've gotten one in 6 with these when theres a case. The ratios the same the overall number who knows

There are so many great LE sodas; these unlimited ones are an easy pass for me. Though hopefully, they can serve as a catalyst for new soda collectors.
I'm enjoying them they are my 1st sodas I have 4 sets of common and chases. If you want to collect get them and enjoy them for yourself, not everything needs to have the potential to be resold.
Not buying any but mainly because I don’t collect Marvel or Shazam. But if they bring out a Batman or Star Wars. I would have to think twice. Because I collect the funko pops and soda’s because I like them not because they are limited or valuable.
Might as well share my opinion no one asked for 🤣 every point made in this video is accurate. To the people that are mad, just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn’t make them wrong. Some reasons why I’m buying the no piece counts is because I live in a smaller city, we don’t have comic cook stores so finding them in the big stores has made them more accessible to me which has been so much fun. I’ve been lucky to go to stores and find them all still sealed but I do believe they should find a way to secure the sodas on the shelves. I see it the same as Pops, if I like the figure, (and if I have space😅) I’m getting it. It’s like with any other collectibles, one mans trash is another mans treasure.
The only sodas with no count I am getting is the Black Panther one. I will not pay crazy money for them. I have purchased two chases at Mercari and paid retail price for both and this is how much I am willing to pay. I have purchased a few common for $5.00. The other line I will not be buying. No piece count always equals a big no no ❌ I don’t collect sodas but even I understand the reasons behind this choice, some happens in symths here with the opening and putting back on shelves they just end up in the £3 bargain bin.

I exclusively collect Star Wars and actually got into the Sodas because of your shows. First being the Jawa and then from there it was history. I would most likely still collect the pieces that are unlimited because I want to keep my Soda collection complete however, that being said I do agree that it sucks that Funko making these limtless sodas highy decreases the collectability of the Sodas. I feel like as a company that is literally all about collectables products it makes no sense to the business model to release them without a count. Collect what you like but from a business perspective it literally makes no sense.
I dont agree completely with your statements.. Firstly the chase is still relevant and bring excitement as I have watched videos with ROCKnROWE and Professor Josh open a Non Piece count soda and get the chase and still be excited that they got it.. so I think that automatically proves their is still relevance in that chase. I think that the stores have to take some responsibility in the way the stock is monitored and that is not something that should then be considered against no piece count sodas because if they put a numbered piece soda in the store the way they do with a non piece count soda you are still going to have the people that open the no piece sodas open the piece sodas the same way (so the retailer needs to take responsibility there and not the product). Then in regards to the Value I think if there was a popular character and only one soda of that character was made for Example Miles Morales from the new Spiderman into the Spiderverse range and they never released another one.. then that Chase is surely going to rise and be sort after and then gain value. As some no piece pops have had that trend so the sodas can do the same.. Ultimately No Piece sodas are here to stay wether fans boycott them or not and I think that is something the community needs to accept. I am glad that Funko haven't just gone to all sodas being no piece count but I always figured the day would come as we have no piece count pops and people collect them so no piece count sodas were always going to be a no brainer and people will still collect them. In the end No Piece or Piece count it comes down to how you collect and if you don't like them don't collect them, but if you like them collect them.. and then everyone will still be happy.. but again I respect that you have backed up your decision and that you stand by it no matter what people say against it :)
I totally agree with everything you said. It really takes the thrill out of it when you get a chase that has no real value. I like you won’t be buying any of them and I think these could be the future Funko products that end up in the garbage 🤔
They were definitely visually appealing at first but after a little I did not get any of them. Very awesome figures without a doubt! But I will no longer be buying them! Keep up the amazing work you guys! As always, much love!!❤️🙏🏼
My 2 cents is look at whats actually being marketed. Sodas for movies or shows for big companies to promote it just like the pops. And these companies(mainly Disney since most of the waves but 1 been marvel) want it to reach every surface they can put stock on. And for the 1 in 6 its still in stone because the equivalent we got comes in the form of pops which are in 6 with no pieces, plus I've pulled chases from fresh cases at stores. Piece counts are awesome and the crux on sodas but my piece count grief is actually on con ones seeing as it took so long for another piece below 3000 to appear. I hate big piece cons on an abundant scale. But in hindsight i just look at that its big company big movie and only has been regulated to such so far. As for value pieced sodas vary alooooot there's cheap ones that are the same or less then a no piece. Tho the main principle when talking sodas pops loungefly etc is always people will pay for what they love expensive or in expensive cause the value comes from the buyer.
I collect funkos only, I do absolutely love the retro look of soda cans themselves, but I don't like the character designs at all. I do get that them not being numbered is really odd, like how they're re-releasing previously vaulted pops. I think it's fine if they do a different version of them and make them different, but restoking them is wild.
Absolutely. I’ve been collecting for almost 10 years and some pops that are limited we almost never see either in mystery boxes or in collections we buy weekly. Same with sodas. Some of the sodas that came out in 2020, even the commons, are showing up less frequent.

I'm gonna be so bummed if they do end up making unlimited Star Wars SODAs and they do R2-D2, if I did pick him up, it certainly wouldn't be for retail and would be for a BIG discount on the secondary market.

I understand your point and respect anyone's decision of their reasons for liking or not liking something. It is sad that some people now days don't understand or respect that people have different points of view on so many things. We do buy them. We are not completionist but I feel like that is how we approach it. We went from buying what we liked to just all around loving the actual Soda product that we buy at least one of everyone that is available to us. Chase or common? we get what we get. We buy more if we want the chase. I have went back to buy cheap commons of Sodas characters we don't really know, like anima just to try to have a more full collection. I see both sides of why to be against it and what I think Funko wants to accomplish with it. I honestly don't think it will work out for Funko like they would hope. I do love the piece count and do not want it to go away. It is hard to explain how I do love the idea of what we have, having money value but I don't ever think of actually selling any of them where it would matter. ( I know things happen in peoples lives where they have to make those decisions though, and it may not be a choice.) I think we collect more for the fun Grayson and I have with it from us doing the channel to talking about things from my childhood and us watching the movies or shows associated with the Sodas. I do realize some of the best parts in doing this is the excitement of hunting for something that is rare or limited though. The most recent example I would have is we were so excited just to be able to get the Snagglepuss Soda. First thing Grayson asks when I pick him up from school. "was you able to get the Snagglepuss Soda?" talking about that soda before we filmed and even after when we pulled the common. Its like your sports team winning or losing. we were experiencing that together as silly as it sounds. That excitement and feeling is not there if it was unlimited, because who cares we will go buy another one. So I get it. Awesome video!

I understand why people might be turned away from them not having a high value. But if it’s a character that you really love or anything like that I think it’s worth getting. I actually just bought the Zombie Hunter Spider-Man and Drax soda at target today, and I got the chase of Drax which I was super pumped about because he is definitely one of my favorite characters in the marvel universe. I also almost never pull chases either so it was a big deal lol. But his common and chase are so different I definitely will be getting both.
But about a month ago when my mom & I were looking at sodas for the first time at Walmart, we were wondering why the one employee kept watching us from a distance the whole time, make sense now since people are unfortunately opening them and taking the figures or whatever they do.

If they make a party Thor soda though I’ll definitely get it because Thor was my first favorite avenger & he’s someone I want to collect all of his pops of at some point. But I definitely agree with you though that I don’t think the commons or chases of these sodas will ever have a high value which is definitely a bummer. And I really hope they don’t do this with the Star Wars sodas, because I want to eventually have all the Star Wars sodas in my collection. You do have some very valid points here, that I have delt with myself and become very frustrated about, but I believe true soda collectors would collect what they really love numbered or not, although value is important to me & most collectors having a piece count is great, but simply not having a piece count is not enough for me to stop collecting Sodas that I really like in my collection. They are just like pops now all common releases with chance of chase. Are pops that are chases all numbered? Do you still collect them? See my point? Also, funko is dropping epic sets that do not have a piece count so collector now can get fantastic molds locally without having to order online or having to drive to other cities to obtain them. There are still people out in the world like my father, that don't feel comfortable buying items online or using a debit or credit card to purchase anything at all online. Yes he is much older at 88 but still loves the Sodas I have gifted him. He came across the spiderman zombie hunter while shopping at target and bough a few with cash on the spot & actually got a Perfect Pull. Not everyone is lucky enough to live near a comic or pop shop. You can always order non-numbered Sodas from on of the 3 online retailers you mentioned in your video. Would you turn your back on a Non-Numbered Freddy Funko? Its a business, Funko needs to make $$ to continue right? So they are simply creating interest for kids, teens and adults that may not even know that the last three years they have been creating these Amazing funko Soda figures. another benifit is they now release a enire wave not one here and a year later another one pops up some sets are still half complete like the most popular examples the KISS set & Ghostbusters set a name a few. If they released them now for big box stores we would have the entire wave not a big question mark if they will ever be release??? Think of this would you get rid of every single not numbered funko pop you own? So, what is it then? Are you saying every pop you purchase is numbered? I have been a funko pop collector since 2015 It has a few benefits it gives collectors inexpensive way to grab a needed chase for between $25 - $35. Yes it sucks I agree but its not that really important enough for me. What if Sodas (like pops) would have come out non numbered from day one? Would you have ever started collecting them? funko has the same 1/6 chance of chase 1 per case of 6 as the numbered cases we just don't know how many cases they really make. It kind of has always been that way with State Side & international Sodas How many are they really making of a sertain sodas anyway. My answer is simple, I say collect the sodas you love numbered or not!!!

Exactly, and that's why a lot of collectors are going to see that these will have very little to no value down the road.
I only have 1 "Unlimited" soda in my collection, Captain Carter. I brought it because of the Union Jack design, I wanted at least 1 piece on my shelf with that design. I was lucky enough to pull the Chase. As far as personal taste, I only like Ltd Ed runs of sodas. I will only buy what I like, but if it doesn't have a limited run count on the can, it does put me off.

I’m not a fan of the no piece count sodas premise. I do agree some of them are beautiful, however for exactly all the reasons you gave is why I’m not running after them. Just one more to add…..if there are piece counts it makes the secondary market thrive ie. Whatnot, Mercari. The excitement of pulling a chase or just getting a soda you have been looking for. Maybe Funko is jealous of all the money made on secondary market😂. Eventually you will find them setting on the shelves of discount retailers. As always great video

In my opinion, I feel like one of the biggest draws to Funko Sodas was the piece count. Take away the piece counts and increase the prices… yeah no thanks.

unlimited regular POPs hold very little value when they are OOB(25-50%). i would assume the sodas will as well. rare/limited Pops that are OOB still hold value (60-80%) so makes sense that the limited sodas will be in the same situation in 2-5 years
im just glad a lot of these unlimited sodas arent part of lines i love/collect so its easy to walk past them at walmart

I don't like them but we did open up a few just for fun. I am still looking online for older ones missed out on to opening. Most the time we only open 1 of each soda so if we get a chase that's cool.

I did get one of the no-piece to count sodas but I only got it because I wanted the chase, it was Namor ( I'm still surprised when I got it, it was the only unopened soda of Namor) and yeah I do really wish they limited them and that they went to a small retailer where it could of have gotten a big value and meant something to those who try to collect them because of the value and/or the piece count, hope funko gets notice of it soon because they are just losing money with having them in big retailers were they get opened. stolen and returned. They do have a very sad looking Funko section. It’s usually awful at our local locations.
The exclusivity of having a limited number to them is part of the reason people collect sodas! I’ll still collect the unlimited count Star Wars Sodas just because they’re Star Wars. 😅

I understand alot of people not wanting these because of the principal of it. But as far as value very few of the common piece count ones are worth anything either. And like you said nobody knows the piece count since funko didnt number them so it could be less than some of the ones that actually have piece counts like the 20k and 25k sodas. For me i will just buy the ones i like and see what happens in the future. I just cant justify not buying them only because they dont have piece counts. It would be like saying im not buying any pops that arent limited piece counts because i dont know how many there are, that would include all commons, store exclsuives, and most convention exclusives. I just think numbering something doesnt always equal value, they have made sodas with pretty low piece counts that nobody even know who the charecter is. The soda hype is kinda dying in general, look at how many are availible on the Funko Shop right now, it used to be where there were maybe a handfull available at any given time, now you go on there and sometimes theres close to 100 on there, and yes some are the no piece count but why arent the 10k convention exclsuives selling out like they used to? The price hike? Or maybe because they are just releasing so many people are being more selective and not just jumping on every single soda released like we used to. Well said John. I agree with your point of views. As a serious collector myself I too collect for the entertainment value and the financial value. No piece counts takes away the financial incentive, which is disappointing. Hopefully Funko limit the number of Sodas that they release not numbered, and continue to create and distribute limited Soda's for the serious collectors out there.

If the piece counts weren’t real then you would never see sodas being worth anything of substantial value. It’s all about supply and demand with collectibles. Funko does limited runs with most of their sodas and we can attest to them being real with how few of some sodas from 2020 and 2021 there are on the market.

Pops & sodas are two entirely different collectible. Do you buy a pop not knowing what you’re going to get? Unless it’s a mystery box, you know exactly what you’re getting. Why is it sad to want limited items? Sad would be having the exact same collection as everyone else.

Soda Pop figures have risen to $35 in Oz. I will not be purchasing no count Soda’s when the price is so ridiculously high. They do not represent any value at all. If I want a set I will wait until the buzz has worn off and purchase them on the secondary market.

If they go the star wars route, it will I guess depend on the character that they release for me to consider going after it. Might as well share my opinion no one asked for 🤣 every point made in this video is accurate. To the people that are mad, just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn’t make them wrong. Some reasons why I’m buying the no piece counts is because I live in a smaller city, we don’t have comic cook stores so finding them in the big stores has made them more accessible to me which has been so much fun. I’ve been lucky to go to stores and find them all still sealed but I do believe they should find a way to secure the sodas on the shelves. I see it the same as Pops, if I like the figure, (and if I have space😅) I’m getting it. It’s like with any other collectibles, one mans trash is another mans treasure.

The only sodas with no count I am getting is the Black Panther one. I will not pay crazy money for them. I have purchased two chases at Mercari and paid retail price for both and this is how much I am willing to pay. I have purchased a few common for $5.00. The other line I will not be buying. I hope Funko doesn’t start making Disney sodas with no count limit. It will be very sad. At the end collect what you like. Thanks so much for this video.🥰🌷🌷🌸

No piece count always equals a big no no ❌ I don’t collect sodas but even I understand the reasons behind this choice, some happens in symths here with the opening and putting back on shelves they just end up in the £3 bargain bin.

I exclusively collect Star Wars and actually got into the Sodas because of your shows. First being the Jawa and then from there it was history. I would most likely still collect the pieces that are unlimited because I want to keep my Soda collection complete however, that being said I do agree that it sucks that Funko making these limtless sodas highy decreases the collectability of the Sodas. I feel like as a company that is literally all about collectables products it makes no sense to the business model to release them without a count. Collect what you like but from a business perspective it literally makes no sense.

I dont agree completely with your statements.. Firstly the chase is still relevant and bring excitement as I have watched videos with ROCKnROWE and Professor Josh open a Non Piece count soda and get the chase and still be excited that they got it.. so I think that automatically proves their is still relevance in that chase. I think that the stores have to take some responsibility in the way the stock is monitored and that is not something that should then be considered against no piece count sodas because if they put a numbered piece soda in the store the way they do with a non piece count soda you are still going to have the people that open the no piece sodas open the piece sodas the same way (so the retailer needs to take responsibility there and not the product). Then in regards to the Value I think if there was a popular character and only one soda of that character was made for Example Miles Morales from the new Spiderman into the Spiderverse range and they never released another one.. then that Chase is surely going to rise and be sort after and then gain value. As some no piece pops have had that trend so the sodas can do the same.. Ultimately No Piece sodas are here to stay wether fans boycott them or not and I think that is something the community needs to accept. I am glad that Funko haven't just gone to all sodas being no piece count but I always figured the day would come as we have no piece count pops and people collect them so no piece count sodas were always going to be a no brainer and people will still collect them. In the end No Piece or Piece count it comes down to how you collect and if you don't like them don't collect them, but if you like them collect them.. and then everyone will still be happy.. but again I respect that you have backed up your decision and that you stand by it no matter what people say against it :)

My 2 cents is look at whats actually being marketed. Sodas for movies or shows for big companies to promote it just like the pops. And these companies(mainly Disney since most of the waves but 1 been marvel) want it to reach every surface they can put stock on. And for the 1 in 6 its still in stone because the equivalent we got comes in the form of pops which are in 6 with no pieces, plus I've pulled chases from fresh cases at stores. Piece counts are awesome and the crux on sodas but my piece count grief is actually on con ones seeing as it took so long for another piece below 3000 to appear. I hate big piece cons on an abundant scale. But in hindsight i just look at that its big company big movie and only has been regulated to such so far. As for value pieced sodas vary alooooot there's cheap ones that are the same or less then a no piece. Tho the main principle when talking sodas pops loungefly etc is always people will pay for what they love expensive or in expensive cause the value comes from the buyer.

I do get that them not being numbered is really odd, like how they're re-releasing previously vaulted pops. I think it's fine if they do a different version of them and make them different, but restoking them is wild.

Absolutely. I’ve been collecting for almost 10 years and some pops that are limited we almost never see either in mystery boxes or in collections we buy weekly. Same with sodas. Some of the sodas that came out in 2020, even the commons, are showing up less frequent.
