  • A Waverley excursion was filmed onboard the Paddle Steamer Waverley during a trip up the river Clyde to the Isle of Bute. The Waverley is the world’s last ocean-going paddle steamer. Built in 1946 by A. & J. Inglis of Glasgow she came into service with the LNER Clyde paddle steamer fleet in 1947.
The journey taken in the film is from the Glasgow Science Centre to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, there is a short stop at Kilcreggan to pick up and drop off passengers. The stop at Rothesay allows shore time of about two and a half hours, returning to Glasgow in the late evening.
Unfortunately, there are some stutters in the footage aboard the ship, I have done my best to edit around these however, I could not remove them all. This was caused by a background app using the MicroSD card at the same time as the camera on my phone. The drone footage at the end was captured during a very brief lull in the rain and high winds.
    Music:
Three wise people by E's Jammy Jams.
1940’s Slow Dance by Doug Maxwell_Media Right Productions.
    Cocktail Hour by Aaron Kenny.
