Did this on my 91 K series a few yrs back when I was 19. Rare year, considering it's body style. Didn't know people would be interested in it. Push button start as well. Even installed the new in those years 2014-15 towing mirrors with parking lights set on, which would blink as well when the blinkers were set on. Which I have not seen anyone make a video about. Nor have I seen anyone till this day on the road with or figure it out.
I pretty much enjoy all your videos (even though I no longer own a obs diesel), I find them very informative. I have a 99 obs Tahoe and a 99 K2500 crew cab short bed and can use a lot of your information even though both of mine have gas motors . I'm looking into the Amp Research steps but they are on national backorder so I'll be waiting a while I guess . Thanks again for the informative videos
wiring changes in 97 when the first passlock was introduced. 95 and 96 are different because of throttle body to spyder injection not sure if its the same for the diesel but the ignition harness looks the same as mine

My 99 diesel has one..fires right up in zero weather..shuts off after 10 minutes of running

What did you use for the RPM sense since its a diesel or is it looking for the voltage from the alternator?
There is a wire that goes up to the cluster and thats where it gets its tach signal from.
@@DCMotorsports Cool, I've done my own manual trans remote start using micro switches to make sure it was in neutral but never did a diesel.
@@mike_mcgregor mhmm didn’t think about that. But Im going to be the only one driving it so I just have to remember to leave her in Neutral.
