    What a beautiful man.
A dedicated family man, he had his priorities in place.
Every account paints him as a very honest, ethical man.
The good ones always get snatched up too early.
But thank God we have his marvelous music!
    RIP, Sir!
    You'll ALWAYS be loved.

Thanks for this trilogy of interviews with the enigmatic Mark Hollis. Interesting to see that he was already mapping out the future direction of the band at this early stage.

I'm impressed with MH's composure under the pressure of addressing the vigour of this interview. I'm not sure how much media training he had at this point. He's only 26/27 and new to the industry but already knows what to answer, what to leave out and how to steer the interviewer. All, while delivering what we now know are prophetic responses of what lay ahead for him and Talk Talk. Wish I had paid better attention during this era instead of discovering his musical genius in my latter years. Le sigh.

Listened to all 3 parts of this interview, the interviewer really did a great job.

Mark and the band always followed their own creative path, and they knew exactly where it would take them, they stayed true to their art.

Mark knew what he wanted and where he wanted to go without letting commercial pressure change his direction. RIP but the music is his legacy. And a word for Paul and Lee (and the other bandmates)..............

So young back then, my god how they matured to absolute lyrical geniuses and such mesmerising arrangements, when you listened talk talk on your own in a shaded room sometimes under the influence it makes you cry how such simple lads from Working class kind backgrounds could write such beautiful lyrics and music, where did it come from🤔????

Wow, an interview with Talk Talk where they are engaged and interesting instead of bored and taking the piss. Obviously the early days.

Was the interviewer trying to sign off with an insult on this one... fuck me, so many good things said previously. Mark was a good few points ahead on the scale of most interviewers anyway.
