    I have this same model except it was designed as a slot car body. The difference being mounting structure for slot car.

      I'll bet that's a good looking slot car.

      Hey Jimmy. Yeah, I should have picked something a little more user friendly I guess. I guess I'll see what I can do with it. Thanks for coming by man.

    I think you have the right idea about the top. I've never built this kit before, so I'm not gonna be much help. The only thing is if you cut that package tray out, how does the interior fit? Will it go all the way to the rear of the roof?

    • @olezippi
      @olezippi  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks Larry. We'll, there is no interior tub, just two door panels. I think I'm going to have to leave the package tray in place because the bench seat attaches to the front of it with two pins.

    I know your capable hands and mind will figure it all out and in the end you will have another outstanding build. Cheers Amigo, best wishes from Nova Scotia.

    Never built this kit Zippi. On the back glass, I would install the glass before primer and paint and cover it with painters tape and when your are done with all the painting and clear coating just remove the tape. Don't over think it... Lol
    The pins you were pointing to that you said holds the back of the cab up on the fenders, also holes the rumble seat in, so be careful of the fitting of that as well. Maybe cutting the notch that they fits in on the fenders deeper might be a better way to go, Just saying...
    I think your on the right track on the top. If there is a small crack on the sides just add some super glue and baking soda on top of the glue and sand it flat. Be careful not to pile the baking soda to high as it gets hard as a rock and a bit hard to sand but fills cracks great and makes them vanish... 😁
    Have fun my friend...

      I appreciate all that info Bruce. I've got a lot to think about man.

    Hmmm yeah i have only built the 40 Ford fat fender car. I would venture to guess that they all need tweeking with the fenders and then does the hood fit? 40 Ford body lines never mated up well. I opted to rubber band all fenders to the body.

    • @olezippi
      @olezippi  5 місяців тому

      I think you are correct about the tweeking. The hood fits good.

    I would put the window in last after painting the interior from the outside with tape to hold on to it when you slide it through the opening

      Thank's Ruane. That's a different approach.
