- Professor David Crystal OBE has earned an eminent reputation as a writer, editor, lecturer and broadcaster in language and linguistics and he is also the Linguistic Advisor of Babel magazine, whose co-editors and founders are University of Huddersfield professors Lesley Jeffries and Dan McIntyre. David received an Honorary Doctorate of the University from the University of Huddersfield and here he talks about Babel, his work on Shakespeare, the King James Bible and future projects, including the Oxford Thesaurus.
Listening to David Crystal is such a treat. Not only is he a fabulous communicator, but he also always comes across as a fascinating and charming person.

I love listening to Prof. David Crystal. He helps enhance my knowledge especially now that i am getting into my 300 Hour Tefl certification. Just ordered his Book on ebay and excited to receive it. Am already an ardent fan of his. So much to learn from his youtube videos and now his books that I will be ordering. I also just singed up for Babel Magazine membership! Knowledge is power and listening to him is like music to my ears :-) His son seems like a brilliant Kiddo!
