Luiz Cosme (1908-1965) was a Brazilian Composer. Son of José Pereira Cosme, connected to the arts, in his house he met the first modernist generation of intellectuals from Porto Alegre, such as Augusto Meyer, Theodomiro Tostes, Athos Damasceno, Armando Albuquerque and Radamés Gnatalli. He was the brother of artist and violinist Sotero Cosme.
He began his musical studies at the age of eight at the Conservatory of the Instituto de Bellas-Artes, being a student of Assuero Garritano and Oscar Simm. He worked in cinemas as a violinist in the silent film era. He received a scholarship to study at the Ohio Conservatory in the United States, improving his violin skills. In that country he became a concertmaster for the Cincinnati Conservatory Orchestra. After two years, he went to Paris, where he remained for a short time, but came into contact with the Parisian musical avant-garde.
Returning to Porto Alegre in 1930, he began teaching at the Instituto Musical de Porto Alegre and at Colégio Metodista Americano. At that time he began to compose, debuting his first works in 1931, a group of songs and chamber pieces.
In the 1940s Luiz Cosme took over the organization of radio programs on the Ministry of Education and Culture Radio, while his compositions were already broadcast in Europe and the United States through concerts and recordings, but he did not compose anything new between 1938 and 1946, making only transcriptions of old works. Returning to composing, he joined dodecaphonism, but at that time he had already manifested a progressive neurological disease that would lead to his death. In the 1960s he was already a notorious name, but he dedicated himself only to writing essays and music books, abandoning composition.

Можно поинтересоваться каким канонам и как и когда они (каноны) были сформулированы? Я вроде музыкант, но не понимаю о чем вы.
