A young woman becomes trapped in a circus-themed computer game after donning a VR headset. She meets a group of other trapped humans - Jax, Ragatha, Gangle, Kinger, and Zooble - and, unable to recall her original name, is renamed "Pomni" by the AI ringmaster, Caine. Pomni notices an exit door while touring the circus, but the others dismiss her as delusional. While the others participate in a quest to gather geometrical critters called "Gloinks", Pomni accompanies Ragatha and Jax to visit Kaufmo, another human searching for an exit, but find he has succumbed to isolation and "abstracted", becoming a mindless beast. Attempting to help Ragatha after Kaufmo causes them both to glitch out, Pomni stumbles upon the exit door and goes through it instead, finding a labyrinth of office spaces that lead her to an out-of-bounds area called "the Void". Caine returns Pomni to the circus, where he imprisons Kaufmo in a cellar with other abstracted humans, and repairs Pomni and Ragatha's glitching, before revealing the "exit" to be an unfinished extension he made for the circus. He then treats everyone to a feast of unsustaining digital food, which the others enjoy while Pomni is left traumatized by her situation.

I like sock puppet is on the digital circus and he meets with caine and his friends are meeting sock puppet too and his name is mopsy and sock puppet is gonna hurt himself and caine shows the exit door and he's gonna tell sock puppet when he was a kid and the bullies are here and the bully smells him bad and the bullies are throwing leftovers and poor little boy is gonna eat leftovers and the bullies are laughing at him and he's crying and the kids are playing toys and poor little boy has a sock puppet and the kids are laughing at him again and he's crying and he's running away and he's on the house and his mom is sick and poor little boy has no medicines and he puts the blanket on his mom and he's gonna close the window and there's a wind and poor little boy sits on the sofa chair and he has a sock puppet and the scientist is here and he needs him toys and poor little boy doesnt want toys and the scientist has a money to help his mother and he puts the vr headset on poor little boy and he's turning into a sock puppet and the kids are laughing at sock puppet and he wants to save his mom and he's turning into the abstract and his friends are running away and caine has the scepter to open the hole and abstract sock puppet hits caine and caine is gonna get the scepter and abstract sock puppet wants caine to take him back and jax is gonna push abstract sock puppet on the hole and caine is crying and his friends are okay now and kinger is crying and he paints the door that sock puppet is gone and that's sad hornstromp when his mom is sick😢
