Restored Minimoog Model D - the Original Analog Synthesizer Back from the Dead!

Thanks for watching! I am NOT a keyboard player so be forewarned! It's not often that you'll find a Minimoog in the wild so I thought I'd share what one looks and sounds like.
I’ve had this vintage '74 Model D Minimoog on the bench all week and in addition to rebuilding the keybed and bushings I replaced all the electrolytic caps, and performed the Moog factory pitchweel update. That redesign by Moog makes the detent position 0 vdc so it’s not always wiggling around. I also upgraded the VCA to more temp stable ICs and rerouted the tempco heat sensitive resistors. Overall these upgrades will make the whole unit operate with way more stability. I also upgraded the pitch, range and oscillator potentiometers to high grade precision pots and tuned the whole thing. After I did all that then I had to troubleshoot some range selector issues that were probably happening back in the day. After all that it’s sounding and playing great and in tune! What a fantastic instrument!
