The label on the tape didn't need to be there, everyone knew just from that signature tone in the first harmonic squeal and whammy dive that he does so well!!!!
To be honest, I am more surprised by Elija Wood's appearance than the fact that he played a tape that was labeled with his name. But rest in peace, Eddie Van Halen! Your contribution to music won't be forgotten!
In defense of the title, I knew the tape was labeled EVH and I was a die hard VH fan, but I never believed the track was actually his playing. There's nothing "signature Eddie" about the playing and it sounds like someone else's guitar plugged into someone else's rig. Cool to know it was him.
Thats unmistakably Eddie and Alex circa 1984 to1986 With Eddies Tones on his Kramer 5150 and Alex Simmons pads on his drum kit!!! "Signature Eddie AND Alex" is all over that like white on rice!!
Actually I did know that eddie was in BTTF because I can read and have ears that hear. But congrats to you Looper for taking advantage of a virtuoso musician's death to get views.😒
Yeah, I knew that Eddie made an appearance in "Back To The Future" (kinda) The scene where Marty had put on the radiation suit and put his Walkman headphones on his dad's head and played the opening guitar riff of the Van Halen song "Eruption"
I didnt watch this video. I'm just here to say you are probably the only one that didnt know this. And I'm posting because youtube just spammed me with this notification, and it's insulting. What you also didn't know is Eddie did the soundtrack for The Wild Life. Can't wait to get that notification.
Anyone that listens to evh knew that was him. I was 10 was I saw it at the theater and I knew right away since vh was played every morning before school.
I knew it and saw the movie, but what I didn`t know, till now, is that I used to have exactly the same model of guitar featured/ played by J. Fox (Ibanez Roadstar II Series). I just didn`t pay attention to such details, while watching the movie, or let`s say, I was distracted, by reading subtitles, as I didn`t speak English at the time :)
I'm sorry I hate to be that guy but, how could someone not noticed that? I thought they were going to say he actually had a cameo. The only explanation for not knowing is illiteracy
I wish I could go back to 1985 and take the "lead/copper guitar pic" out of his mouth and throw away the cigarettes. Cut down on the coke and alcohol too..........Love you, Eddie, miss you! RIP
The label on the tape didn't need to be there, everyone knew just from that signature tone in the first harmonic squeal and whammy dive that he does so well!!!!
Speak for yourself! I am d umb!
What is the name of the track of the Van Halen scene?
@@bearkhan898 I think he made those riffs just for BTTF.
" I'm just a punk kid who plays guitar." Eddie VanHalen
He was always so modest. :-)
To be honest, I am more surprised by Elija Wood's appearance than the fact that he played a tape that was labeled with his name.
But rest in peace, Eddie Van Halen! Your contribution to music won't be forgotten!
Evey real guitarrist knew who was playing in that scene just by hearing
Yeah but not every non real guitarist didn’t fail to not know
Indeed
Big facts
I thought it was Rupert J Cobb from the seventies band " Hard Again " .
Damn you 2020
You forgot that Fox also gave Eddie the nod by Using Eddies Metal Guitar Pick.
I already knew this man. Thanks for getting my hopes hup that he made an ACTUAL cameo in this masterpiece. LOL
Sammeeee
Now tell us more stuff that everyone already knows: “Eddie Van Halen played the solo on Michael Jackson’s Beat It and you didn’t even know it.”
I didnt even know lol
And he did it for free too. I’m sure if he knew what a Gigantic hit it was gonna be he wouldn’t have been so generous.
sky is blue, grass is green. no shiettt
One of our best has left to join the big concert in Heaven. Have a guitar off with Jimi for me Eddie 🎸
I knew it. I can recognize his guitar licks anywhere.
The brown sound!
I love jump!!!!!!

Oh I know this, I thought it was gonna be eddie van halen making a cameo I missed but it was something everyone knows.
Is this a joke?! Everyone knows this..
I didn't
I know right? The only explanation for not noticing this is being illiterate LOL
RIP LEGEND
Not every real guitarist, but every fan. His tone is unmistakable.
Out the window! Great noodling

Actually I did know that eddie was in BTTF because I can read and have ears that hear. But congrats to you Looper for taking advantage of a virtuoso musician's death to get views.😒
I don’t think this video was meant for anyone born before 2005.
Agreed.
Shut up, gatekeeper
Yeah, I knew that Eddie made an appearance in "Back To The Future" (kinda)
The scene where Marty had put on the radiation suit and put his Walkman headphones on his dad's head and played the opening guitar riff of the Van Halen song "Eruption"
It was actually Van Halen's "Out the Window", which is another small guitar solo. Don't worry, I didn't know this either. I had to research it, lol.
Billy Zane, part of young Biff’s gang.
Jason Scott Lee, part of Grif’s gang.
Got to rewatch Back to the Future.
Not to forget: At 3:18 the other kid beside of Elijah Wood, is Billy Zane!
RIP EDDIE YOU WERE A LEGEND
I knew, the sound, it was unique
Classic!!
Eddie Van Halen has been honored by the Bill & Ted and Back to the Future franchises. How cool is that?
Disliked the video for mentioning something we already knew. Talk about trying to cash in on someone’s death...
dude the tape had EVH name on it.
I know the scene but i didn't know if the music was especially recorded for it or is part of a van halen song?
Been knowing that was Eddie and Alex in that clip the tones are unmistakably them!!!
What a handsome guy!!!
@ Arath Gonzalez, totally! No mistaking his sound
R.I.P Eddie
Of course we knew who is was look at the freaking tape before he puts it in
I didnt watch this video. I'm just here to say you are probably the only one that didnt know this. And I'm posting because youtube just spammed me with this notification, and it's insulting. The "subtle" part was when they showed the cassette tape labeled "EDWARD VAN HALEN" on the giant movie screen.
I didn’t know that actually but I’ve only watched it once years ago
Yeah.
Yeah, we *did know.
Just *listen.
You mean other than the fact it says “Edward Van Halen” on the cassette tape label? And that the playing sounds exactly like him?
Back to the future would not have been the same without M.J. Fox , I'm glad they re-shot the movie and used him !! 😉👍
Anyone that listens to evh knew that was him. I was 10 was I saw it at the theater and I knew right away since vh was played every morning before school.
Oh, the real fans knew this. Thanks "Secrets of the BTTF trilogy!!" =]
I knew it and saw the movie, but what I didn`t know, till now, is that I used to have exactly the same model of guitar featured/ played by J. Fox (Ibanez Roadstar II Series). I never thought it was actually EVH on that tape, but if he said it was, then I was wrong....simple as that. Rest in peace, legend.
I'm sorry I hate to be that guy but, how could someone not noticed that? I thought they were going to say he actually had a cameo. The only explanation for not knowing is illiteracy
I never wondered if it was EVH. You can clearly hear that it's him. No one else sounds like that.
I did.😁lmao too.
I knew that. I was van halen with star wars and star trek combined.
I knew that , everyone knew that
I did know it.
I knew it.
I WROTE A PLAY ABOUT EDDIE AND BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!
I think Michael J. Fox was already a household name playing Alex P. Keaton on "Family Ties".
He was the original choice to play Marty.
Yes
I thought all guitar players knew this
EVH born 1955, Back the future past scenes 1955 😎🎸
And Marty playing a guitar that was launged in 1958.
😎
Tell us something we don't know
Yeah anyone that listens to Halen knows that it was him.
I wish I could go back to 1985 and take the "lead/copper guitar pic" out of his mouth and throw away the cigarettes. Cut down on the coke and alcohol too..........Love you, Eddie, miss you! RIP
It was literally labeled......
Well now we know 🤔🤣
I knew.
Don't mind me here. I'm just a classical guitarist who just knew Eddie Van Halen because he died a couple weeks ago. 😑
I guessed Van Halen, to more inclined it must have been blatantly obvious.
I thought everyone knew this
Thanks captain obvious.
LMAO!!!
INTERESTING FACT YOU ALREADY KNEW BECAUSE WE NEED TO CAPITALIZE ON SOMEBODYS DEATH!!!
You are about 30 years too late bud
Kinnnnng
