What is it with animals and laying on fabric as soon as you lay it down! 😂 I just made my first pair of jammies and my cats did the same thing and they loved tearing at the pattern paper! 😅
I really love the long version, also my thought would cut a slit on 1 side and maybe 20 inches of length no too much not too short. You rock both styles cause got that body.
I loved the before. The long sleeves and length were so beautiful. It’s always a struggle for me to find dresses that are long and long sleeved. Obviously it’s hers and she can do what she wants, but it killed me a little to see the length removed. You can find the dress she made so easily at big retailers, but it’s such a struggle to find dresses like the before.
Not hating - I promise. Poster is gorgeous with great legs (smile) But as someone who works in an office with a dress code... WHY are everybody's clothes so SHORT nowadays and where do yall work that this is ok?
I’m a hairstylist but i definitely wouldn’t wear this to work, I thrifted it for $5 and thought it would be fun to alter (definitely didn’t take my bottom into account though when I cut straight across … so it’s too short in the back 😬)
It looks like you were using a straight stitch on knit fabric. Maybe next time try a zigzag stitch or a stitch meant for stretchy fabric so the seams will look better and it'll wear better over time. Great job otherwise.
I love your assistant. He holds that right in place while you cut. So cute.
The original looked really good on you!!! Not everyone can rock that type of dress..both before and after looked GREAT!!
i would've loved to have seen it when you took in the waist and sleeves but tried it on long before you removed the length.
I like how you sized the arms but the dress looked better long.
I love how the doggie helped! 😅😍
I prefer it long
It looked just fine before she started messing with it.
go buy a long one then
I liked it longer, it really showcased your silhouette.
Same
You have a great assistant for marking fabric!
Love your helper and his precious assistance to your work. And really love the change to the dress, it really ended cute
Thank you so much 😊 🐶
its GORGEOUS with the new length and fit! literally stunning
It looks great on you both ways!!
I gasped (!) when seeing that low back -amazing dress
You couldn't have done it without your trusty assistant.❤❤❤❤
I did like the length at first, but after I saw you pair it with those boots I definitely think short is better 🤌🏽✨
The longer length was gorgeous though
❤ seriously tho❤
Your Amazing and so is your dog! He/she looks like a rescue!
A matching headband or hat would be cool with all the extra fabric
My dogs have always laid on my sewing projects while I’m working on them too! Lol! What a beautiful fur baby!
I liked it before you modified it, but now I love it!
Back hem is hiked up, too short. The side alterations were needed. Good job!
I would put some weights in the hem to keep the back from riding up. Such a great transformation.
Great idea!! Thank you 😁

I like the dress either way. I think it mostly needed to fit you better at the arms though.
By the way, your dog is so cute.
Omg! This went from meemaw vibes to the cutest, most flattering 70s-esque dress!!😍
Thank you so much!! 😊💕
Honestly wish you didnt take the length away, the back was a great touch in itself
It looked great to start with!
Love your fur baby!!!
You might even be able to do a bando top and wear the dress backwards too. Cute redo 👍
I love it. you did great.
Thank you so much 😊
You are soooo talented!! Love this dress!! Great creativity!! I love your furry friend too!!
Nice work
You could make a matching scrunchie with the leftover fabric :)
Love the dog ❤
Great outcome! To do this by eyeballing it?? Amazing!
I loved the redo. Felt way more younger
Actually, I like both.
Love love love your content
Thank you so much!!
Love the dog helping g;!!
Cute nice job.❤
I would have left it exactly as it was. Skin tight is out, low back balancing with the long length
A stylish garment turned into something tacky.
i'd remove the sleeves and leave the rest as is.
Looked good both ways.
I liked tapered armpits but I think the knee length would have been perfect especially if tapered in to be form fitting.
Wow!! Super cute! It looks great 💜
Looks amazing!
Thank you 😊 💕
Sewing is such a handy skill. Good up cycling
It looked good on you with the longer look but the shorter look is awesome ❤❤❤
Refashion, I love it.
Amazing ❤
Great job
I love it before and after. ❤🎉
Wonderful assistant!❤
I eyeball it too..... always works!
You just have to watch the length of the hem in the back.
Adorable pup! ❤
Wow. Is that your sewing support dog.?😂😂😂😊❤❤😊😊😊 So well mannered.
Am glad you have a helper❤😮😅
Super cute!
Wow … I didn’t realize what difference these new seams would take!!😊🩷

That was a lovely dress before, great length
Wow! Inspiring
Worlds cutest fabric weight
The fabric has lovely colours and design, and your dog is a luvvy
The dog being directly in the way at all times is so real lol
Youre so lucky you have such a diligent supervisor to catch all your mistakes!
Cute 😊
Awesome your dog just wanted your attention so bad 😂❤😊 Cute after you fixed it.
Looks great TY for sharing ❤
Ooou la la! Love it!
Cute❤
My dog, too, while sewing❤😂
It also looked cute as is
Did prefer D long dress❤
Gorgeous ❤❤❤
And you could still use the cuttofs for other projects.
Your dog is precious
You can totally make a skirt with what’s left :)
Dog great assistant ❤❤
No bc this is so motivating to get back to sewing I love how the dress came out it fits you perfect
Is it hemmed at the bottom? Doesn't look like it
Maybe add some weight at hem in middle back to make it even, does the fabric have burgundy? You look good in everything I'm sure. Nice tailoring,
That’s a great idea!! Thank you
Cute!
Your nails are awesome 👌

Doggie❤❤❤
😂 your dog is a great supervisor
I love the pupper support
Dog is doing all the work.
It would be so cute with like a chest cutout and no sleeves or maybe just the taken in sleeves! But I love what you did that low back is so nice
Use the leftover fabric to make something for the puppy
Love that idea!!!!
Looks great
How did you hem it without it stretching?
I think that seam should have been 2 paws instead of 1.
You have the best helper. ❤️❤️❤️
CUTE
Dog is the best part lol
I would noy have shortened the dress but it does fit very nicely on you now.
It looks like you were using a straight stitch on knit fabric. Maybe next time try a zigzag stitch or a stitch meant for stretchy fabric so the seams will look better and it'll wear better over time. Great job otherwise.
It’s not knit, it’s printed on polyester to look like knit 😊
. Would keep the back hem slightly longer. The behind tends to lift it higher.
