Dimash is ethnic Kazakh (both his parents are Kazakhs too).

His features very much look to be Eurasian, doesn't look like most of the peoples from surrounding countries, and not like any Turkish people I have met, Plus he is very tall. I can understand that fans from all countries want to claim him as their on.

Dimash's family (not fans) are those who consider themselves Kazakhs, and no doubts in it. They are proud of their origins and always emphasizes it. It's not up to us judge what they're look like.
Their family tree is impressive: people rarely know so many generations in European or some other countries.

He is classically trained and studied Jazz and contemporary music, now he makes his PhD in composition. He is very versatile and some vocal couches think he is the best singer, because of his skills. Dimash isn't only technic, with his emotional expression he touches our souls. And he is a very humble, kind and respectful person. He is just getting known in North American eventhough he destroyed the competition a US called "The World's Best " but quit after he found out there were also a few children in the competition ! He wasn't told this and quit the competition much to the dismay of the organizers ! He's a global singer with a huge range , technically perfect and has performed in 12 languages ! Dimash sings in 12 different languages, plays 7 instruments and has either a 5 or more often people say a 6 octave range. Dimash walks his own walk and has gained a GLOBAL following now. - Dimash Kudaibergen was born in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, on May 24, 1994. It is now 192 cm tall.
- Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. His baritone register is just beautiful. It’s thick, rounded, powerful. His soprano register is out of this world, for a man, that is. I don’t think there’s anyone on earth can sing like him.

King among ALL kings AND queens of vocals. I remember a professional vocal coach once said Dimash is like a heavy duty truck where vocals/singing is concerned.
The Slavic Bazaar is a festival in Vitebsk, Belarus. The announcer was saying that Dimash is from Kazakhstan. Although he had competed previously, the year of this performance he was a judge and was performing as a special guest. The way Dimash can hit those high notes is 20+ years of training in the musical academy since the age of 5. He will graduate this month with his doctorate in music.
Actually it's not even known if he has started his doctorate yet. He graduated a year ago & was approved to enter the doctorate programme. The last we heard he was deciding on the subject. So even if he's started, he won't finish his PhD within a year. That usually takes at least four more years.

Hi Harrison, here Dimash was invited in 2018 as a special guest at the Slavic Bazaar, which he had won in 2015. The original song SOS is from the French musical Starmania, from the 1970ieth. In 2017, D was invited as the only foreigner to the top-quality high-level Chinese competition show The Singer, where he performed SOS (at the age of 22) and won the hearts of 600 million Chinese overnight. The following three years he worked and live mainly in China, winning every possible price you can get. He has more than 100 songs and about 12 soundtracks, all of them masterpieces, with a voice which he is training since he was five! This is a cover of a French pop song. Few people have the range to do it well. Dimash's range is amazing. He can sing bass or go off the piano, literally, on the high end.

I have been a Dimash fan for about 4 years. I honestly and personally (my own personal opinion) believe, Dimash is a Music Virtuoso of our time. Dimash is a respectful and kind young man; who always credits his Family and his Team for his achievements and successes. He is from Kazakhstan and is now 27 years old.
Dimash has been formally training and performing for over 22 years. At the age of 5 years old it was determined he had perfect pitch. Dimash is known for his exceptionally wide (bass to soprano to whistle register) vocal range and breath control. It is recorded that he has a range higher than Six (6) Octaves and continues to improve his ranges and techniques. Dimash is a phenomenal Vocal Storyteller and Performer.
Dimash calls his style an "Innovation" [Neo-Classic] in the Classical Crossover Genre.. Dimash combines many Styles such as Classical (Opera), Contemporary (Modern, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Rap), Estrada and traditional Kazakh folk music. Because of his "crossover" style/abilities there are many Vocal Coach/Singer debates as to whether Dimash is a Baritone, Tenor, Countertenor, Alto or Soprano.
Dimash is multi-talented, Musician, Singer [12 languages], Multi-instrumentalist [7 instruments], Composer, Performer, as well as co-Directing/Filming and direct involvement in his own Music Videos. As a sidebar; Dimash [he is 1.91cm / 6ft 3in tall] has done Modelling/Photo shoots for well known Fashion Labels, Lifestyle and Fashion magazines. Dimash is an Ambassador for and promotes many Charitable causes directly related to the health and welfare of Children and the Elderly.
Dimash graduated in 2014 from Music Institute in Classical Music with Major in Vocal Opera (Bel Canto). Dimash continued his education with University studies in Contemporary Music and graduated in 2018 with a Major in Vocal Contemporary Pop & Jazz. In the Summer of 2020, Dimash graduated with a Master of Music Composition. Dimash is continuing doctorate studies in 2020/2021 at the same University. It is phenomenal & emotional to be in the audience for a live Dimash performance or Concert. I attended his Solo «Arnau-Envoy» Concert at Barclays NYC, USA in December 2019. Dimash performs and interacts with the audience, which provides an awesome and entertaining experience.

Things about Dimash. He’s deceptively tall, over 6 feet. He sings in about 10 different languages. He’s a multi-instrumentalist. And since you mentioned that alien song, Diva Dance, which was deliberately composed so no human could sing the highest notes, Dimash is probably the only male singer to successfully perform it. Dimash turned down offers from various opera houses to sign contracts with them. Dimash is reputedly one of the nicest persons anyone could meet and he is very humble.
Correction: in 2016, the director of Astana Opera State Theatre invited Qudaibergen to work as an opera singer, but he decided to pursue a career in contemporary music. He turned down only this offer.

This was a cover of a French song. You just stumbled on the best vocalist of his generation. As the owner of one of the best trained voices and one of biggest ranges, he is innovating what's possible in singing. Oh, and that 5th Element song, he sings that!!! Yeah, he sings alien (lol) and in 12 other languages. And most of his songs are master pieces. His older English songs are fantastic, but his English used to require subtitles. He has since improved a lot, though he still could improve more. Oh, and his fans will blow up your channels in terms of subscribers. They are super loyal to him, not only thanks to his talent, but his kindness and humility. He is the anti-Diva in terms of attitude.

Dimash comes from musical family. He was taught music by his grand parents. And singing by his mom who was a sopranos opera singer. Dimash’s first singing on stage was at 2 and performed his first piano piece in public was at 5. He’s a genius. To me he’s a sword master no boundaries or barriers can stop him.

For those who love Dimash, another must see singer is Zhou Shen from China. Because of his small stature, feminine disposition and voice, he was often bullied in school. Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went tot he Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did.
