It always disappoints me to find that visitors to New Zealand follow the heavily promoted destinations rather than ask the locals where they prefer ti spend their time. The most obvious example is the Queenstown/Wanaka choice in the South Island and the Cathedral Cove/Whangamata beaches in the North.
We had to plan every day of our trip to NZ months ahead of time to make sure everything was booked in advance. We therefore had to follow recommendations from other UA-cam videos and the NZ and Coromandel visitors websites - so ended up in the more well known tourist spots. Where would you have recommended in Coromandel?
