The subway ring (which is on more than just this car in game) is not a tow hook it is a part of Japanese drift culture they steel them from subways an put them on there car it is said that once it breaks your car is finally low enough

Fun fact: the subway ring is called a tsurikawa. Street racers in japan would steal the handle bars from buses and hang them on their cars, both inside and out. There have actually been a few other cars in GTA w tsurikawas.

6:40 the hood is a part that used spacers if the car has an added intake. The spacers make it easier to release heat to prevent overheating since the hood opens from the windshield to the grill.

@@easypete975 when you use engine risers for lowered cars you need hood spacers to allow room for the engine’s increase in height. The clamshell hood design is not used on the civic here nor do hood risers help with heat extraction nominally enough to be considered a benefit of hood risers

Hi, the bonnet/hood as u say in USA opens slightly to help disperse heat from the turbo as when the boost is turned up they really glow just like an electric oven. Also, when u said it looks like a motorbike battery, it's a lightweight racing battery. I don't know why America was (as in, used to be) so far behind compared to Europe with hot hatches. When I was a kid, my Dad had a Series 1 Escort RS Turbo (PLEASE GOOGLE THIS GORGEOUS CAR), they were only available in white apart from 7 black ones and 2 red ones (or the other way around). As my Dad's car was a Stage 2, which I think was 220bhp (130bhp from factory), he had the kit which made the hood open slightly to let out the heat. It looked really strange at 1st, but when you got used to it, it actually looked really cool. They were made in limited numbers and we're only made in 1984 - 1985 before it was replaced with the Series 2 RS Turbo. The Series 1 was far cooler in my opinion and most fast Ford fans. I've seen a few on eBay lately and the really, really clean ones are reaching £30,000.
Duncan Harris I thought the lifted hood was also to fit a different bigger engine that normally didn’t fit. Is that also a reason? I think I remember hearing that for like the h22 or something.?? Correct me if I’m wrong just curious.
It's because we love our trucks so much, and more recently crossovers, we like big cars in North America for the most part.
Meanwhile, bike lanes are going in everywhere, parking lots are designed for smaller vehicles now and everyone's still driving a lifted dually or gigantic SUV Crossover.
We don't get any of the fun stuff that Europe and Japan gets, and if we do we get a castrated version of it
You can get similar results using washers. I did it to my car because I didn't want to buy one with vents or cut holes. It did work because I can see the heat coming out of there when it was raining also my firewall was a bit cooler.
@@louisGC28 so sorry for the late reply, but no, it was for cooling reasons. When driving, the wind would rush over the bonnet causing a vacume effect to help draw hot air out. The faster you went, the stronger the vacume became. Again, so sorry for the late reply. Hope you are well

In Japan the subway ring was kind of a middle finger to law enforcement . Before the rings was sold by after market companies people would have to steal them from the Japanese subway trains. Since we are supposed to be a society of obedient people it became a sign of disobedience . It's not for towing . The lifted hood is to help cooling on track cars.

The lifted hood is so you can use the airflow wash over the body to pull excess heat out of the engine. Early Civics overheated pretty easily and this was a cheap way (couple washers stacked on each bracket) to battle that without cutting holes in your hood or cramming a bigger radiator in.

I’m happy this car came out. I love the EK9. I tried to make mine as clean as possible but not stock. It looks really good. The interior is basic but it’s not terrible.
This car is awesome. They did a good job making it real. I had a 91 Honda Civic Lx, 2 door hatch as my first car. It was red, 1.5L, vinyl seats, and only a driver side mirror. No passenger side mirror. It lasted 13 years until the road salt got the better of it unfortunately. It was a good car. Lol

The lifted hood irl is used because sometimes on different motors, the intake plenum would hit the hood while closed.

That Atomic livery looks a little bit like a Spoon livery. That one with race yellow primary color would look awsome.
The lifted hood allows for more airflow, a lot of people within the tuner community do it. My buddy has a Dodge Neon SRT and his hood is lifted.
The fingers logo on the bottom few liveries seems to resemble a legally safe knock off of the Mighty Car Mods Chopped fingers

F1 car is the podium vehicle this week
They do the lifted hood because some people swap the newer bigger civic motors into the old ones. The civic type R came with a 1.6L engine and the newer ones go all the way up to a 2.4L. The problems with having the 2.4s in the old civics is that it has a taller deck height and you either gotta drop the motor lower into the engine bay potentially risking busting your oil pan or spend $5 on some washers to lift your hood a little bit.
I’ve been waiting soooo long for an old civic and here it is!

I got both of them in the first ten minutes of them both coming out ,, the kanjo is more tuner and car meetish and the sugoi is more practical , faster and more seats,,,, but at the end of the day I would recommen the kanjo because its more fun

I owned a 99 Civic coupe some time ago. It drove great, sounded terrible and was so fun to drive. Honda's might get hate sometimes, but they are great cars and can last years.
