When me and my sister were little, my dad would put this on for us to go to sleep to. Amazing how much nostalgia that gives me and I might start doing it again.

I remember when you could set screensavers to have text. Once when I was in homeschool, my windows xp computer's screen saver said "sniff my butt and look at it". My teachers were not impressed
I had to do a college project and had this playing on my other screen. I made it to @3:13:47
The only thing missing is the whistle of the PC Fan and the random clicking of the internal Hard drive
I prefered it way slower and only a few stars.
It's interesting the stars only have two different size states, but the dept perception (still) looks "real"

I was so impressed at the time how Star Trek had been influencing technology when Win 3.1 came out with their first screensaver as a Trek view screen. I felt like a kid in a candy store when I got my first flip phone...lol
This was the only Screensaver I used. You could.make it faster or slower too. Blew my mind as a kid
When I was a kid and it was late at night and nothing to do, I would just watch this on my computer. So at peace

I remember putting in my Star Wars soundtrack CD into the computer and then setting this screensaver and just staring it--while fantasizing--as John Williams' epic scored washed over me.
As a kid, whenever I saw the stardust screensaver, I always got it confused with the opening credits for Muppets from Space and always questioned in my head “why aren’t the words showing up yet?”

I remember when the screen would time out on the old family home's Windows XP and this screensaver would show up, I'd sit and watch it and felt like I was traveling through space as a kid. A very long time ago... I would've only been about 5 , now I'm 25 🕳️
