Walkabout is a beautiful and disturbing artistic masterpiece of a film. It contains so many juxtapositions which push a person to think how culture shapes our humanity and the gulf between living in balance with nature and exploiting nature. The noble savage archetype really comes alive in this film. I like the way you explained how the film leaves gaps for us to ponder. Thank you for a great review and for encouraging more people to see it.

"Walkabout".....one of my favourite movies....when you just sit back and relax......it does take you on a journey.
Great reaction/review. .....I highly recommend you checking out Nicolas Roeg's (with Donald Cammell) first movie "Performance" starring Mick Jagger and James Fox....it's fantastic (I've seen it at least 15 times), and it holds up today (cult following).
    Keep up the good work!

Walkabout is a strange masterpiece. I couldn't possibly explain why it's great but it definitely is.
