Plokjuhy nice one for uploading this video I’m a blue nose and was growing up at this stage of my life, watching Everton when I was 13 or 14 was the highlight of my life I only wish that my nephew could have been around at that time so he could enjoy unbridled joy and happiness, I lost my brother in 85 and it destroyed me and the family but the only thing that gave me joy at this time was watching Everton so thank you very much.
The days when we were a match for any team. No histrionics, no fucking around pretending to be hurt, just lads playing football for keeps. The game has changed almost beyond recognition, and not for the better. Great team back then and a lesson in commitment, skill and determination for today's players wearing the Blue shirt.
THANKS FOR THIS ! Very much appreciated. I can now start dumping all my old Everton video cassettes .... you seem to have posted most of the games I had recorded ! Cheers Blue. NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM. COYB !!! :-)
Nowhere near. Anny Rd end seated (apart from away corner) 2 seasons previous dropped capacity to around 44,000. Even with 'extras' you're looking 46,000 tops. I was stood on the Kop that day to witness Sharpe's volley at the opposite end.
Remember when they changed that corner from the north and south terraces. I was in the corner away end and it was supposed to hold I think 2,200 but we were packed in like sardines and probably nearer 4,000. Great game and so was going to United in the whittain road end and 2corners separating the fans.
I was on the kop that day. Wish we could still mix like that a shame it's got so negative between the fans now. I had a strange record at anfield derbys in those days, I never saw us lose when I went on the kop but we always lost when I went in the away section
Nik Reece One Evertonian is worth twenty Liverpudlians. 1984-85 Everton and 1969-70 Everton are the best teams to have played in the Football League since it started in 1888. The greatest team that actually played together would be: Neville Southall Gary Stevens Kevin Ratcliffe Derek Mountfield Pat Van Den Hauwe Trevor Steven Peter Reid Paul Bracewell Kevin Sheedy Andy Gray Graeme Sharp. As for the eleven greatest players to have pulled on the Royal Blue shirt of Everton then five of this side would be retained: Goalkeeper Neville Southall, Right-Half Kevin Ratcliffe, Centre-Forward Graeme Sharp, Outside-Left Kevin Sheedy and Outside-Right Trevor Steven Everton XI Neville Southall Kevin Ratcliffe Brian Labone Dave Watson Trevor Steven Alan Ball Kevin Sheedy Johnny Morrissey Adrian Heath Graeme Sharp Dixie Dean Captain With a hat-trick or two by Dixie against Liverpool’s greatest XI this Everton team would be unstoppable winning 4-0 at Anfield and 7-0 at Goodison. COYB!
when i look back at the football and compare it to say barca and real madrid now, these teams look garbage. They would get slaughtered in the champions league these days

What a goal ! Everton had a skip in their step during these days. You cannot buy self belief and we had it then.
I know he's not very popular at moment but sharps goal is probably the best goal scored in a Merseyside Derby

Bobby Moore ....how can you leave out Harvey and Kendall?....impossible!!!.....you can't separate THE HOLY TRINITY....
@@Ryan_Giggs97 Much as i would love to fully agree, Arsenal's invincibles were magnificent.

not if they were allowed to tackle like they could back then. Most modern day players would have went off crying by half time. 😢
obviously not factoring the pitches and physicality of game back then. still not saying teams you mentioned werent great ten years ago like
What a goal what a team ,,,,,,,,
Go 2 bed
Dislocated my shoulder playing rugby the previous week, was sat in the Kemlyn Road and nearly dislocated it again when Sharp scored.
