Thanks BRiES for this "comparison". Really appreciate your in-depth videos, especially the Joranalogue and Cosmotronic ones. Also great thanks for Generate 3 extensive user guide 🙏
Hey Bestmann3n thanks! I would do more of these, I just need to find the right units to compare to each other. I could try to get my hands on a Soundforce DCO and filter, perhaps a Feedback chorus and compare them to my Juno 60 - the issue there is that I would need at least a few DCO's and filters so I could play them polyphonically or I don't think it would make any sense. So that might not be the best idea. Any suggestions?
super cool that this video came out just a few weeks before I'd look into comparing these two. The MS-22 full kit & the soundforce assembled almost cost the same. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this great video! Some swelling resonance fluctuations, especially the dynamic saturation of the MS-22 are really impressive to me. I like the vinyl-like noises produced by my old MS-20 filters, so I'm also curious if these clone modulars can produce similar noise.
@@briesmodular The noise that occurs just before the filter resonance. (I think sound engineers hate it.) It's hard to explain but I'll try to show an example in my next post.
@@briesmodular I tried a bass boost with saturation noise. I'm not sure this noise is the original characteristic point of the MS-20 filters (or mine is just old) but I personally it's useful as a part of acoustic spatial expression. ua-cam.com/video/_fxK7okrQ7M/v-deo.html

Hey he_lium, thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the guide as well!
I like the idea of these comparative rundowns. Hope you'll make more of them in the future.

Hey Ipppei, thank you for stopping by! Could you explain how to make those vinyl sounds on the MS-20? I should be able to try it out.

@@IppeiTambata I tried finding it on my MS-20 but didn't really know where to start. I'll keep an eye on your channel for the patch.
